I had SF Pauli come out and help me with my 110 year old barn. It needed some TLC such as missing batten / boards replaced / repaired, doors repaired/re-hung, install windows, the usual stuff. I can't say enough about the crew, they were professional, friendly and just plain good at what they do. They listened to me and were awesome about understanding what I wanted. My hats off to SF Pauli, I have many more projects you can help me with. Thanks!!

SF Pauli remodeled my kitchen, replaced doors, and replaced a basement ceiling. They are always very kind, great to work with, and show up when they say they are. My biggest problem with contractors is not being reliable but the workers for SF Pauli actually show up and do great work.

We used Pauli Builders for the build out of our current office space. Ronnie did a great job of keeping me informed of the progress and if there were ever any issues that popped up. The space turned out great! We even used several ideas that they had for reusing some items that they were pulling out of the existing space in a different capacity. I would recommend them and would use them again.

I hired Pauli for some aspects of a basement remodel that we didn't want to handle ourselves - egress window installation, HVAC, plumbing, and framing. Framing, HVAC, and plumbing work was done very well; the workers who came to the house were professional. However, I had to call multiple times to get the work finished (6 weeks for a pretty basic job!), and the egress window was done so poorly, I regret having them do it (installed too high, ground settling around it - it has become an eyesore after just 2 months). Were they the worst you can hire? No. Would I hire them again? No.

I received a quote for replacement of a rusted lally column, recommended during a home inspection. The description of the work stated that the existing column would be removed from the concrete floor, a new one placed there, and the hole refilled. This repair was structural, and I wanted an experienced contractor rather than a handyman, because temporary supports would need to be placed before removing the old one. I accepted the quote, but the work specified in the quote was not performed. The old column was left in the concrete, and sawed off with about a foot sticking up from the floor. A new column was placed beside it, and screws were drilled into the concrete to secure it. It was not sunk into the concrete. No temporary supports were placed, and no concrete was removed or replaced. It took the worker a few hours, total. The old column is still sticking up out of the floor a foot.
After receiving the bill, I requested an adjustment because the work described was not what was performed. If I knew they were going to do it the way they did, I'd have hired a handyman for a few hundred dollars less. I would have been satisfied with an admission that it wasn't done to specifications, and with a minor adjustment. However, my major complaint with this company is their attitude and response to my request.
I received two different explanations, one from the worker, and one from Mr. Pauli, which provided different reasons. Mr. Pauli stated that the worker took additional time beyond what was estimated because he had to go purchase a different size column (and this apparently was my fault). Mr. Pauli sent another bill that was over the original amount due to the additional time required to purchase a different size column, and indicated that I should be happy with the original amount because I now should be paying more than the original estimate. He did not address the failure to remove the original column from the concrete and the new column not being fixed into the concrete.
While disputing these charges, I was billed a "late fee" of over 50% APR. I eventually just paid the original amount.
I understand that sometimes jobs change once the worker gets there. However, my biggest criticism is with the attitude of the business when I nicely pointed out the difference between the quote and the performed work. A humble acknowledgement and a truly minor adjustment would have made me a satisfied customer. As it stands, I cannot recommend this business.

Steve,
Just wanted you to know how happy we are with the results of our remodeling project.
Your people are polite, professional, do outstanding work, and seem to have the integrity that I’m sure you inspire in them.
You anticipated issues that we could not have foreseen and provided quality and value at every turn.
We really appreciated the level of communication, we knew what was next and when, no surprises, AWESOME!!!
Please add us to your long list of satisfied customers.
Many thanks,
Gary and Jewelean Brown

The guy's that do the actual work are good but the management is horrible!!!! Matt the project manager is a liar and will not return phone calls for over 3 weeks. They left my house with water damage to a ceiling and floor and refuse to fix it.

They installed a new shower surround, bath faucet and shower head for us. It really upgraded our old bathroom. Highly recommend!
