Just called to have someone come out to do an assessment for a new ac system for my condo. Called Encore because of A rating on Angies List. Operator took my information and said she would call right back. She never did. Against my better judgement I called back only to find out that she had never written down the information I gave her. Needless to say, I didn't call back.

This company is not trust worthy, and prey on defenseless individual in this case our family especially military combat veterans. They promised the world, made suggestions and promises that were never kept. They are so deceptive that no permits were pull to installed the ac, no inspection was done thats because they lied about the services and items they claim to have installed. One of these crucial lies was the over flow pump cut off in the water pan. They charge us, lied to us, and told us it was all operational the air-condition pan was clog the water over flowed into our ceiling causing our ceiling lights and many other parts to come crashing down. NOW not one return call even after we asked to have someone amicably repair what was suppose to have been done right the first place.

Our AC unit quite working late at night right when our kids were about to go to bed, but the operator immediately connected us with the on-call person who lived right in our neighborhood. He came right away and fixed the problem and gave our family a great night and peace of mind with a follow-up visit the next day. :)

Do NOT buy anything from this company, or r a person named James Mccow Jr who is supposedly owner. They DON'T return calls dont stand behind the products they sold even a year ago. Take the time to call the Pinellas Cty Clerk Court,THE Dept of licensing which is DPBR AND THE BBB there are numerous unresolved complaints including ones from when his license was valid. The license was SUSPENDED REVOKED!There are felony fraud charges. All of which could be seen by the public on line. He is doing business by other names do
your homework. I was told as early as this morning when looking for AC company that Encore is merging with Fl Air Care so opted not to use them as he is merging with them. I could go on and on. DO YOUR HOMEWORK ON THS COMPANY AND ANY COMPANY THAT HAS ITS NAME ATTACHED. CONTACT past customers they could help you too.I found a past customer setting up some kind of class action. Over a year ago i purchased a new unit(with 10 year warranty) from them, had a simple problem and i was guided from the phone, easy fix.
4 months ago i called since my system wasnt working but never got ahold of them, by phone or email every now and then i try calling and see maybe they answer the phone, but nothing worse decision ive ever made, all i want is my warranty and see how im able to use it with other companies, this is literally messed up

If there were more than 5 stars, I would have selected it. Encore Air is prefessional, punctual and respectful of my time. They not only did the job right, but cleaned up after themselves and offered a fair price. If I had to do it all over again, I would hire them again. Thank you James and crew.

thermostat went blank, didnt know why, called them to fix, so they changed it to the new one and the guy said dont worry about labor fee, i just charge u the part and then charged me $295, i asked the guy how come it's so expensive, he said that because its everything. What the heck is everything??? U told me just pay for the part, and then charged me that much, while i looked up online the thermostat only cost $60 to $90 max. Then i called them they said they will call me back to fix the problem but they never call, so its fine people of encore AC , just keep my money and i will let all my customers know how good guys are treating new customer like me, because i dont know anything about AC that dont mean u can charge me as much as u want . SO PEOPLE IF U VALUE UR MONEY STAY AWAY FROM THEM

Bought a filter in March 2016 and I still don't have it. I have called the company about four times. The last time I called was early in May. They apologized that they had made a mistake and had not ordered it.
I still don't have it and it is the 1st of June 2016. I am going to go into their office today to see if it is there. Three months is too long to wait for a filter.

They do not return phone calls. We are an elderly couple in our mid 80's who were trying to stay cool, called them, but never heard from them. We only got as far as an answering service. Goodbye, Encore.
