We purchased a system from Heart Heating Air about 2 years ago. It has been a great system, with no problems at all. We also purchased the warranty and they clean the system quarterly. Not only are the owners good people. The staff is professional and pleasant to talk to. They clean up before they go and tell you ways you can save on supplies such as filters, pellets ect. Being a woman and on a fix income makes me try to fine an honest and reliable company to work with and to able to have them return for future work if needed. I want a company that will stay with me. Last week I made numerous calls to small and large companies of those I knew names of. Not one would help. Out of the blue, I looked in an old phone book and started calling a few who would work my location of Sanford. I must say Heart Heating & Air was the one I chose. Why you may ask? Just remember the old saying of the first person you speak to makes a company in my book. Katie was so refreshing to talk to and very knowledgeable with my questions. Friendly and courteous. An appointment was made for this week though two days later an unusual problem with my AC surfaced. I waited for the appointment instead of calling back. Their Tech Chris came out and serviced my problem. He was a nice man and he himself was also courteous. And he listened to all my statements and (me, overthinking) explaining about everything to me. I have AC and I like the fact that me as a customer was the companies first concern. God Bless them and Heart Heating & Air has my business. My thank you to all.
Told me that Technician would be here between 1-3 pm. Arrived at 12:30. Diagnosed the problem, and replaced a transformer. Then found a bare wire outside that shorted out and caused the transformer to malfunction. Fixed both and gave me a reasonable quote for a new system to replace my old one that was over 25 years old. Will set up an appointment to replace the system.

I was first introduced to Heart Heating and Air by the Property Manager that manages an investment property on my behalf. On a very hot Florida summer Sunday afternoon, in August 2016 my tenants Air Conditioning stopped working. Heart Heating and Air conducted the repair the same day bringing needed relief to the residents of the home. After 10 years the original capacitor went bad and Heart Heating and Air fixed it on Sunday afternoon for under $200. I have personally paid larger firms ARS in particular well over $300 during the workweek for the same repair.
A short time later the AC at my residence started blowing hot air at a home I had just moved into. This was on a Monday evening around 7 pm. I noticed the Air Conditioner had been installed and serviced by Del Air. I gave Del Air a call and they said, the earliest they could “squeeze” me in was Wednesday. It being summer in Florida, sweating for 3 days wasn’t ideal. It then occurred to me I should try Heart Heating and Air, as they had recently done a repair at my investment property. When I called, Heart Heating and Air they asked where I was located and said they would be there in about 40 minutes. Sure enough just before 8 pm on that Monday evening Heart Heating and Air arrived. Mike looked at the unit for about 20 minutes, and confirmed everything was working fine. He then explained with the thunderstorms and frequent power surges that had occurred that evening, it caused the Compressor to go into safety mode and it waited 15 minutes before starting to operate once more. This is done by the manufacturer to ensure you don’t burn up the compressor. I appreciated the information and was very grateful to have my AC working once more. Heart Heating and Air refused to charge me a trip charge. Wow, I thought to myself companies still go above and beyond for their customers.
The residence we live in has two AC units, and the older of the two was 16 years old and was showing signs of being at end of life. I was personally able to put a ‘band-aid’ on the unit to get me through the couple of weeks I needed get quotes and line up a replacement. Naturally, Heart Heating and Air was my first call. Kevin Paradysz came out and provided two separate estimates. One for a 15 seer Heil brand unit and one for a 18.5 Seer Bosch brand unit, naturally there were pro’s and con’s to both units which Kevin explained in detail. While I was impressed by Kevin’s presentation I wasn’t convinced. I called three additional contactors, one I had used for a new unit 10 years ago, one highly recommended by a friend, and finally Costco (all good things come from Costco right?) Two of the three contractors pitched similar products in terms of Seer and tonnage, but not the same brand. These brands included Lennox, Bryant, and Rheem. These were substantially higher with an inferior warranty. To put this in perspective Costco was 130% higher on the Lennox. The third contractor actually pitched the same two systems the Heil and the Bosch and was 20% higher.
After having done the numerous interviews/quotes the choice was clear. I choose the 18.5 Seer / 4 Ton Bosch unit with 2 years parts and labor warranty and 11 year parts from Heart Heating and Air. The crew of three consisting of Ismael, Dustin and Hector arrived just before 9 am and completed the entire job in one day around 6 pm. These guys were highly professional, and left the job site cleaner then when they arrived (my garage thanks you). From start to finish Heart Heating and Air was wonderful. At no time was there any pressure, and they were always willing to answers questions with a smile. Occasionally, I think I asked the same question more than once, and they were happy to answer it again with a smile.
After calling multiple locations in the Orange City area for a commercial repair, I was getting dejected by company after company outright either refusing to return calls, refusing to work on RTU's or coming out, lokking at the project and then stating they couldn't work on the units they could only replace them because they where too old and in poor shape. Estimates from 7k-100k where quoted. Now I am not an HVAC professional, but I know when someone is trying to BS me and the majority of the others were doing exactly that. One company even came out cut a fan motor off one of my units an then proceeded to say they couldn't work on the unit because they couldn't find the serial numbers of the units due to sun wear of the labels. What they didn't know is that I had already seen the units and knew that the paperwork for each RTU was in each cabinet of each unit with every part # and serial # they needed.
I count my blessings for honest people at Heart Heating and Air. These folks are some of the most honest I have ever come across in this industry. They came out quickly identified that the units are actually in great shape and only needed fan motors due to one being seized and the other just being bad after sitting unused for several years. They did the job with no muss and no fuss, on time and for what they estimated.
I cannot say enough about this outfit and I urge people in Volusia County to give them a call for your HVAC needs.
Our AC was out when I got home from work. After calling them the gentlemen arrived at 8:15 and promptly and professionally replaced a blown capacitor and got our AC working. The technician was quick and courteous and I will call them in the future.
Since they put in my ac i have never had to worry about a thing. If I needed help in anyway, I just called they answered my questions or came out to take care of the problem. I am very pleased with the work they have done and the service they perform on my ac.
