McCarthy Air Conditioning Cooling CO

I called McCarthy and set up an appointment acknowledging there would be a $120 service fee. When the repairmen showed up they were wearing shirts for The Right Sevice A/C Installation and repair. The reason I select McCarthy was because of their reviews and they're local. I informed the repairmen that the drain needed to be cleared. They looked at the unit and agreed and the told me it would be $299. I felt stuck since I had $120 already invested. The work took less than 30 minutes. Then I was told if I paid by credit card I would be charged tax. I've never heard of such on repairs and service. Again felt stuck and wrote a check. I feel that when you call a compamy they should tell you in advance that they are sending another company out to fo the work. Also let client know you prefer checks, and that there are additional fees for credit cards. Also, drain cleaning serms pretty straightforward and the charge for that seems very high to me. I have nothing negative to say about the repairmen. I just felt stuck and that I over paid for a simple service.

Ben was very helpful and knowledgeable and let me watch him while he worked so I had a better understanding of how the system worked. I also really appreciated that we were able to be bumped up a couple days because they had some down time and we're to fit in sooner.

When most companies are doing free estimates, it's asinine to charge $99 for that. When I made the person aware I'd be skipping the estimate, he seemed excited and said "me too!!." Missing out on a lot of potential money by doing this.

The technicians were on time, professional, courteous and knowledgeable. They took the time to explain what was wrong and how to prevent it in the future. They also explained how my system was functioning and some upcoming maintenance that will be required. Highly recommended.

Awful customer service! Called for service and they were late for window given. No call to explain reason for tardiness. I callEd back an hour past time (and their phone rang and rang). Finally, I get ahold of someone to have to wait an additional 2 hours. I canceled my service. Too many other places to try to waste my time with this one.

Great restaurant, the food is really good.
