Green Planet Heating & Air

We recently had our 16-year-old A/C coil, condenser and air ducts replaced by Green Planet Heating & Air. Throughout the process Jay and his team were polite, respectful and on time. Once the system was up and running, we noticed an immediate difference. Thanks in large part to the new air ducts the house cools down more evenly now and we’re looking forward to the improved efficiency showing up in our utility bill this summer! After doing some research on HVAC companies, I came across Green Planet. I was looking for a company who was fair and honest because there are too many out there who will rip you off. Green Planet had positive reviews so I contacted them for a diagnostic. Jay contacted me immediately and we set up an appointment. He was honest about my issue and gave me a very good price. My AC was up and running in no time. Jay and Green Planet have gained a lifelong customer. When companies are ethical, as they are, they will gain loyal customers.

Jay knows his stuff, works quickly and efficiently, is friendly and reasonable in his pricing. I've used him twice and plan to continue as the need arises for our aging HVAC system. When the time comes, he will be the one to replace it. What more can I say?

Jay from Green planet heating and air came to diagnose/repair the system, was very professional, checked everything and gave us the options: repair vs replacement after a thorough explanation (which made total sense) and considering that our system is 22 years old and cost a fortune to run we decided to replace it. Jay is very knowledgeable, dependable and honest. He calculated the right size system for my house and didn’t up sell like other contractors were when giving quote. Installed system a few days after quote. All of his workers are very professional and wore face masks the whole time. I had a few fine tuning due to my personal preference and Jay came out himself to help me out.

I could not recommend this company enough. We bought our house in December 2019 and within a few months our AC was acting up. We worked with another company who provided a very expensive temporary fix. This fix lasted about a year, until the next summer. We called the same company and they came and "fixed" it again. Expensive. But, it wasn't fixed. They told me we needed a whole new unit. I got some quotes from them and decided to check out other companies to get a second opinion. When I called Green Planet, Jay started off with a few simple questions: did the other company test things? Did they check the air ducts in the attic? I knew the other company never did any of this because the attic access was in my bedroom and they never went in there.

He was able to get someone to come out and look at everything super fast. The inspection was completely free. They checked EVERYTHING. The air ducts in the attic were in very bad shape. They were all twisted and falling apart. I showed him the quote I got from the first company and it turns out it didn't make any sense at all. They were trying to give me a new furnace and condenser unit that were completely different sizes. One of the sizes was not even big enough for the size of our house. Jay gave us a few options with quotes and was very thorough. We asked how soon it could be done because we were in a bad heat wave and my heart dropped when he said maybe next week. After talking to his crew, he was able to get us a crew to install that week.

The crew that came out worked fast and efficient and even showed us how to work the new thermostat. Everyone was very nice and professional. I am so glad that I got a second opinion and will now recommend them to anyone!

My very old AC was on its last legs so I finally gave in and started looking around to get it replaced. I had a company scheduled to come by to give a quote but they never showed. I called Green Planet later that afternoon and Jay were able to come by same day to take a look. I wasn't given a quote, he gave me the exact price of how much everything was going to be and it was way better than previous quotes I had gotten from others. No hidden fees or surprises. What he told me was what it was. His crew that came a few days later to install. They were clean and efficient. The crane part was done super fast. All done within the day. I'm glad the other company never came and prompted me to call this one. I'd call them again if I ever need them in the future.

I have been recommending Green Planet for all AC and heating needs to everyone I know. They are efficient, polite, and knowledgeable. From install, to service maintenance, to just answering a general question they are a 10 out of 10.

My AC packed up on a 90 degree weekend but thank goodness Jay very kindly made time on a Sunday to come have a look. He was considerate, (arriving masked and putting me fully at ease regarding COVID prevention) and quickly diagnosed the issue. After replacing my old filter and doing pressure tests on the whole system, my AC was working like new in what felt like no time. Prompt, professional, reasonably priced - he even called a couple of days later to follow up and check everything was still running great - you cannot go wrong with Green Planet and Jay. Of course our AC decided to not stop working on a hot day. I can't say how grateful I am for Jay not only responding to my message right away but for coming out on a Sunday within 30mins of speaking with him. Jay was really nice and professional and explained exactly what was going on with our AC unit. For now, it looks like we won't have to replace it but when we do I will be sure to give Jay a call. He gave us estimates for if and when we need to do more extensive work and answered all our questions thoroughly.
