Calvey Heating and Air

Calvey added A/C to our central air system a year ago and it has performed flawlessly. They solidified their 5 star rating with a quick turnaround for an emergency repair.

My HVAC unit was not receiving power and I called Calvey in the morning. They scheduled a tech for the same day, who diagnosed the problem as a bad fuse. They actually upgraded the fuse to a reset-able breaker and DIDN'T CHARGE ME FOR THE PARTS OR LABOR! Granted, their A/C install comes with a warranty but I don't believe they modified this part of the existing HVAC system (so it's not technically under warranty?), so essentially they went above and beyond for a previous customer. Thank you!

The house owner hired them to clean the dryer vent. The person they sent managed to break a cleaning tool inside of the vent/duct and get it stuck there - granted, that can happen. However, after the incident, the first idea they suggested to solve it was "we'll have to cut through the garage ceiling/sheet rock". We insisted there must be something else to attempt before radical construction work. Technician said "I can try to buy a cable with tool to pull it out of duct. I'll get it and come back in 2 weeks" :0 After we got the house owner on phone, they agreed to try to solve it today. A few lost hours later, without much better tools, they inserted and broke a second tool inside the duct. I will update this review if this company actually comes back and solves the problem in a professional and responsible fashion.

We recently had Calvey do some work at our house to install dampers and balance our heating system. Now we're not getting blasted with hot air in our bedrooms any more! They came on time, were courteous and professional, and did good work. They even put on shoe covers before entering out house without being asked.

Calvey Heating and Air recently installed a new wall furnace in our family room. They completed the job in 1 day and were extremely professional and punctual throughout the process. I would absolutely recommend Calvey to others for their HVAC needs.

We were having a problem with a house fly infestation and so our best guess at location of the source was in the vents (since flies showed up in every room.) Also, we wanted to get the vents cleaned as we rent a house, and we're pretty sure they have never been cleaned out in the 36 years of its existence!

After searching a bit on Yelp, we came across Calvey Heating & Air. I booked the appointment through Yelp, and they were very quick to respond and got me a pretty quick appointment time.

The serviceman (Bernie, I believe the father of the owner) called me 15 minutes before arriving, which happened to be right when the appointment window was to start. He was very polite, and professional. He took the time to answer all of my questions. My 3.5 year old son loved him as well, and I like to think he's a good judge of character!

Anyway, after two hours, the vents were all cleaned. My allergies have certainly improved since the cleaning. Unfortunately, the fly problem didn't go away immediately, but it naturally abated shortly after. I also expect our electric furnace (house original...i.e., 36 years old) should run a bit more efficient this year, which will be great.

So to summarize. Price was very reasonable. Staff was very quick to respond/communicate. Service was very professional and polite. All in all, absolutely no complaints. Thanks for the help!

I almost never review stuff, but these guys were awesome to deal with from start to finish. At quote, they actually listened to what I wanted which led them to suggest a heat pump rather than just bolting on an AC (I'm putting in lot's of solar too), and also noticed that the blower would be the wrong size to match the size of AC I wanted anyways. The crews that did all the install work were very professional, and went out of their way to make sure that they didn't punch unnecessary holes in my walls; were polite and lovely to have around the house; and were generally great. The cost came out very competitive too. Kudos to Joe and team.

Joe came out and because of availability, we had Air Conditioning and a heat pump installed and working in less than a week. All of the workers I talked to were nice and professional. Reasonable prices, honestly in work and timeline. What more could you ask for?

Can't say enough good things about them.

They replaced the forced Air unit, and added AC. Asked about changing out the duct work, and they said no need to.
