I had a pretty complicated job, retrofitting an old house that had gas furnaces and exterior A/C compressors with new heat pumps for H/Vac, as well as a heat pump hot water heater. Josh figured it out perfectly, putting our very different bedrooms upstairs on their own mini-splits, and the open plan ground floor on one zone. He even figured out a way to use the (cold) exhaust air from the water heater to cool a wine cellar. It all performed perfectly in cold weather, and now that we are having our first heat wave I can say I have never had A/C like this before - cool, powerful, and very quiet. I almost forgot to mention another favorite feature, which is a whole house fan in the attic. Controlled Air is fantastic to work with - smart, polite, and professional. And nice! I stayed in the house during the construction so I know for a fact that they are!

I had 6 bids done on this house, removing two systems (upstairs and downstairs) and replacing with a single large system for the whole house including all new ductwork for the bottom floor.
Josh was one of only two individuals that gave me confidence that they really understood the job and accounted for everything. He honestly knew my house better than I did. He was very thorough in analyzing the job and communicating his ideas and thoughts to me.

Beyond that, Josh was incredibly patient with me as I evaluated different options and equipment and he ran several scenarios and bids for me. He also walked me through the different options and gave his recommendations on what would be best for my home. He provided detailed line item bids. Highly recommend him. Josh is using high quality, top of the line equipment as well.

I ended up taking a slightly lower bid from the other guy but Josh was competitive. He really does have my full confidence and I'd not hesitate for a moment to have him do a job. Honestly if you're looking for someone to do the job right, Josh is your man.
