Had 3 diamond certified companies give me a quote for a new HVAC system and asked each one what they recommend. Matt, the owner of Air Quality, was the only one to suggest a zone system as we have a two story house. He explained the additional cost and benefits with no high pressure sales pitch. One other guy I asked later for a quote said I didn’t ask for it so he didn’t quote it but he was much higher anyway. The system has been working great for 10 years and Air Quality does annual maintenance at a very reasonable price. Matt comes out once in a while to check his people’s work and has had to come back a few times when an error occurs at no charge. Great customer service and the initial installation went smoothly on schedule

Excellent workmanship, reasonable prices, no hard sell - didn't suggest any more than what was required for my needs. Diamond Certified, so I can be assured they will stand behind their products and installation.
Owner Matt is polite, courteous and very competent, as was his installation crew. Clean, fast installation of A/C unit added in 2016 to furnace that they installed and serviced since 2011.

Air Quality installed a new furnace, A/C and ductwork for us two years ago. Both the installation and the equipment are of high quality. This was actually a redo of an expensive, all-new failed zoned system that Valley installed 11 years ago. After two years, every day when I drive into the garage and see my new system, I am still amazed at how professional this installation looks compared to the previous one. It was refreshing to work with Matt Farber, the owner, rather than a "comfort specialist". Matt is very knowledgeable; he’s the guy to go to for zoning! I previously had three zones: family room/kitchen; dining room/living room; and upstairs bedrooms. Another Diamond Certified contractor told us we had to convert back to a single zone, which I did not want to do because of the big temperature difference between the family room and the master bedroom. Matt instead recommended that we add a fourth zone to the master bedroom. When two contractors give you diametrically opposing options, it is hard to know who to trust, especially after the bad experience with Valley. I am so happy that we put our faith in Matt. I love, love having that fourth zone, both for comfort and energy savings! I highly recommend Air Quality.

Air Quality impressed me. We took our time, collected multiple estimates and interviewed 5 different companies in person. Air Quality stood out for my needs in a residential setting. Very competitive, knowledgeable, honest and helpful. Oh and not on time.......but early. The day of the job they arrived early but waited curbside until the exact time they were scheduled to arrive!. Pleasant to work with. Honest. Willingly shared strategies for the best results within my budget and time frame. They met every aspect I had hoped for and more. I would recommend Air Quality whole-heartedly, for any residential application, where you want an expert, small, hard working company.

Air Quality installed a new A/C system for us + touch control panel
a few years ago and has been doing yearly maintenance. The heating
is doing well, reaching all rooms of the house. I like that they
call us (keep track of it) for yearly maintenance. They have
customer service that picks up the phone. Overall, I feel Air Quality
is run in a serious (good) manner.
Also, I asked a question over email and Matt responded thoroughly
to it.

Matt is the absolute top go-to guy for anything and everything having to do with heating and AC systems. Number One, he KNOWS his stuff. Number Two, he's responsible, reliable and DEPENDABLE. We've been using him for quite a few years and will definitely continue to! I wish there were more businesses with his professionalism!

Our A/C died and I thought we needed to replace the whole thing. We got a few bids. Matt was the only one who suggested that it could be repaired for a lot less than the cost of a new system (though he was willing to put in a new one if that's what we wanted). He was the most knowledgeable and explained the trade-offs clearly. He patiently answered all of my many questions. Matt arrived on time for the initial bid appointment and the repair. It all went super smoothly and the A/C is running like a champ! Matt is absolutely the first person I'll call if we have a problem with our furnace or A/C. We've also recommended Matt to friends.

I am very happy with the work that Air Quality Heating & A/C did in installing 2 furnaces, 2 air conditioning units, and water heater. The work was excellent, efficient, and very neat. Matt F. was very attentive to details and friendly, as were his workers. I highly recommend them.

I chose Matt/Air Quality whose company is Diamond Certified to install a replacement furnace as well as a new air conditioning/ duct system. Matt was very informative, answered all my questions, and didn't try to over sell me; the written estimate was exactly what we agreed upon. The installation was everything that Matt explained would happen. There was a delay in getting the final permit signed off; otherwise I would give 5 stars.

We had to replace our 19-year old furnace and finally decided to also install AC this year, so due diligence research was in order. I received a Diamond Certified Directory in Apr 2016 and looked up and read about the 3 highest rated local providers in our area. All have good reviews on Yelp as well, so I made appointments to get estimates for the job. Matt Farber was the only person who presented and explained a complete summary of options with a balanced approach for expanding some of our duct work, and using a portion of our existing duct work. Air Quality is a certified Carrier installer and service company. Matt sells the premium Carrier Infinity Series furnaces and air conditioners because this is a long term investment and he recommends the best. In the final analysis, Matt's pricing was lower than the other two providers who were either: 1) selling the lower tier Carrier Performance Series with a plan to replace all our duct work, or 2) selling Lennox equipment (3rd behind Carrier and Trane) without any changes to our duct work. And his final price was lower because Carrier is currently offering a rebate on their Infinity series products.
Matt has a great installation team lead by Manuel with Ernesto and Julio. They know their stuff and took care to properly remove our old Trane furnace, prep the location for the Carrier furnace, AC coil, and Carrier air filter. And they installed the Carrier air conditioner condenser unit outside securing it properly per current code requirements. All this within 1-day and making sure they also protected surrounding areas in the house with tarps and plastic covers because they had to go in the attic and crawl spaces. They thoroughly cleaned up after job too. Matt also had to coordinate duct testing of our system by an independent CA state test service to make sure the system is sealed - that testing was completed and passed. Matt also had to hire a contractor he's worked with in the past to patch and paint a hole that was initially plugged with dry wall and tape where an old 10 inch round return duct had been. The work was completed today very professionally with no hint there was ever a hole there. Finally, we will have to get all work inspected by the City of Sunnyvale which I have confidence we will pass. The support doesn't end after the job is complete because Matt stands by the 10-year warranty on the equipment, and has a 2-year warranty on the labor. This has been one of the best home improvement experiences we had to date - thanks Matt!
