    DJ was GREAT! Identified our problem, had a new thermostat that meet our needs, installed and CLEANED up before explaining how the new thermostat worked. Polite, efficient, timely, and professional.

    I stumbled upon these guys completely by chance via my home owner's insurance, and they did such an amazing job I had to look them up to leave a review.

    I bought my house about 5 years ago, and my air conditioner has always struggled to keep up with the summer heat. I've had half a dozen people come and do "maintenance" on the unit, but it never really improved, so I just assumed it was an older system and it was normal that it would just run all day long to try and keep the house cool. That's until Rick's came out. They did a lot of work on the unit that the other guys just didn't bother to do, because the system is operating so well that it barely ever needs to run in order to keep the house cool. It's saving us hundreds of dollars a month on electricity, and the house is more comfortable even in the worst heat.

    Rick’s Heating and Air Conditioning was great! First, they were able to schedule the appointment for the next day. Carlos was on time and provided great service! He checked both of our heating and air conditioning units, replaced filters (one unit was missing its filter completely so he vacuumed out the accumulated dust and checked to make sure the unit was not damaged), went up on the roof to inspect the condenser, checked our fuse boxes, and then explained everything he did afterwards. He even got our heated floors working!

    I highly recommend using Rick’s Heating and Air Conditioning!

    If I could give 0 stars, I would. Avoid DJ at all cost. We mistakenly used him TWICE. The first time he over-charged us and we went round and round. Then a couple of years later our general wanted to use DJ and we reluctantly agreed. Well, big surprise, we failed the HERS test. He sent a crew to repair their shoddy work and we had a second test that passed inspection. When we got the bill from DJ, upon advice from our general, we paid the full amount minus $550 for the second HERS test. Seems fair, right? I mean should we pay for 10 tests if his work fails inspection? So, we sent the payment with an explanation and asked that he call us. We called numerous times. No response. Instead, we get a bill and a threat to take us to small claims court?! Say what? No return phone call, no negotiating? After $40,000 worth of work that we paid for? We call again: Nothing, but a new bill, plus a late charge and a threat to charge us $75 for the small claims fee. Interesting business model: shoddy work, overcharge your customers, don't respond to them and then threaten to sue. Take my advice and avoid Rick's Heating and Air Conditioning. UPDATE: AUGUST 2017: We go to sell our house (the first one that DJ worked on) and it, too, failed the HERS test. We had to spend $2,000 with another contractor to correct the work he did and close out the permit, so we could sell the house. NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE!

    DO NOT hire these guys! You would be MUCH better off going on YouTube and trying to fix it yourself.

    The guy they sent solved the problem but fecklessly broke the squirrel cage for the motor afterwards. He said he’d return to fix what he broke, but never did. They sent me a bill that’s a complete fiction for adding a thermostat (that wasn’t part of the job and I didn’t get a new one).

    I’ve left messages and haven’t heard back. They called me by mistake, I explained my issue and the guy hung up on me. LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR PROFESSIONALS!

    Rick's Heating is great! This is the second time when I have called because our HVAC system stopped working, and CJ told me what to do to get it working again without having them come out to fix it. The first time it was to replace a fuse, and the second time was to tell me that the error code "Lo 8At" meant low battery (though I guess I should have guessed at that one...). I felt silly, but it fixed my forced air unit! There was a third time I called, and it turned out I needed a professional to fix it, and they came and fixed it right away! They are great, and very fair. A place that tries to help me free of charge over the phone first, is a place that has won my allegiance. This is how to do it right. I now tell everyone this is the best HVAC place in town! Clearly, they are trying to help you, and not rip you off! Thanks!!!

    I agree with the other reviews in being impressed by how quickly they scheduled an appointment.
    Carlos was prompt and gave us excellent service. We will use Rick's whenever we need help with our heating or a/c.

    Update, my mom also called them for service and they never called her back. So unprofessional.

    Just the BEST. GOOD COMPANY. GOOD PEOPLE. CLEAN ! Neat job. Cleaned up the walls re hung things outside where necessary. Great quality products & Great value for the price.
