Titan Upgrades

I love the work done by Titan Upgrades. Very easy process. Eric the project manager was great. He was very helpful and knowledgeable of the project. He made sure we were happy every step of the way. Definitely recommend. Thank you again we love the way our home looks.

Excellent customer service, great financing options and quality work. What more can you ask for? HVAC and insulation was not only affordable, but job completed in less than 2 weeks. They worked around my schedule and were very accommodating! I plan to have my next project done by Titan Upgrades.

This is a long review if you want to read the entire thing, if not here is a quick synopsis. I cannot stress enough that consumers should think twice before Hiring Titan Upgrades. Titan 100% Outsourced my entire HVAC installation, they did zero work; resulting in utter Chaos, and zero accountability as my family was left without heat in the middle of winter for 2 WEEKS When a job that was quoted as taking 3 days took nearly 2 months. All they did was take a cut of the money, which ended up costing me much more than going with another vendor. I'm going to detail my experiences in this utter failure below.

I choose Titan Upgrades to install Heat & AC into our home in Los Angeles in February of 2021 for approximately $19,000. I had a sales guy come out from Titan and do a walkthrough, we talked about the the size of GAS system I needed, number of vents, etc... He quoted me a competitive number, I was told the job would take 3-4 DAYS and I agreed to move forward with them.

A few days later another group of people from Titan come out along with my "Titan project manager" to do a final walk through before the job starts. The "project manager" changed literally everything the sales guy and I agreed on, number of vents, size of system, etc... I went from having an only ac condenser installed on my roof, to now the whole system and was told "its the best way to do it"... I asked a bunch of questions and was told how he's done tons of these jobs and this is the best way, so I agreed as HVAC is not my area of expertise. I digress...

From here EVERYTHING turned into a disaster. Day 1, 2 people show up from a company I've never heard of to do the install and tell me they were hired by Titan, about 2 hours later the head technician walks off the job leaving their Apprentice (who by the way, was absolutely wonderful the entire job) by himself , no work is done for the next 2 days. I call Titan and do not hear back for 24 hours from my "project manager".

Day 4, & 5 the apprentice (again, great) and 2 new people show up again and the vents and ducting are installed; damage is also done to my fridge and another appliance, I reach out to my "Titan Project Manager" and do not hear back for 2 days. Day 6 HVAC unit dumped in my driveway & the crane to install the unit never arrives. Day 7 Crane arrives and puts the unit on the roof. Day 8 installation of the unit continues, I ask when they are running the Gas lines so I plan to not have gas or power in the home and am informed THEY INSTALLED AN ALL ELECTRIC UNIT, work stops. Titan Upgrades does nothing and does not return my calls for 2 days. The Subcontractors then work out a deal with me to make the mess up of the installation acceptable. Day 12, installation is finished. Day 13 I pay them $19,000.

Day 14, the entire unit dies. We are left without heat in the middle of winter, I contact Titan Upgrades and do not receive a call back. The Unit is deemed defective by the manufacturer. Days 15-34 NO HEAT in our home as the sub contractor tried to procure a new system for us giving us space heaters in the process. During this time I reached out to Titan 15 Times via phone, email and text messages, and to this day have never heard back from either anyone at the company or my "project manager". Day 35 Replacement Unit is installed, we have heat and the system is working. I still have not heard back from Titan or my Project Manager.

My wife and I couldn’t be happier with the new “cool” roof and HVAC system that was installed in our home in only 3 days. From start to finish, Titan Upgrades provided a very streamline process that exceeded our expectations. Give them a call for your home upgrades.

I met with a consultant at my home by the name of Kenny to discuss removing my old roof and installing a new one. Kenny is very well informed on the products and the process. He had all the answers to my questions. He took his time in explaining and listened well. Most importantly he did not push too hard or make me uncomfortable. The cost of a new roof is overwhelming so I haven't followed through with using Titans service but Kenny did an awesome job and I wanted to share that.

I am so happy with all aspects of dealing with Titan Upgrades. From the start they were extremely helpful & knowlegable, understanding what I wanted & needed with no pressure. They made it happen. The installers were very professional & thorough. They thought of everything & answered all my questions. I feel confident I made the right decision going with them & not having to look any further :)

We hired them for a supposedly 5 day job to do pavers. Wrong decision. Their sub con showed up with no equipments and no materials and no real experience. They wanted to deal about 1,500 sq ft of pavers using one bottle spray (yes the one they use to wet your hair in the salon)! The job finished in 3 months. All through out this period, Tait, their guy, lied, bullied and called us names. Instead of working with the home owners, Titan Upgrades antagonized and challenged the very same people who expected them to work for the interest of the clients. Do not be fooled. The culture of lies is deeply rooted in the company. One day, they were to come and I was home sick. We keep our gate locked for so many reasons. Their crew didnt call and left. Instead of asking their own crew why didnt call or inform them, Mark, their VP probed me as to why I didnt tell them, making it appear that i was telling them a lie. The last time I checked, Mark is not father and he can not tell us when to lock and unlock our gate especially if they didnt call to confirm or at least to let the homeowners know that the crew is outside. It is not a big deal to get up and unlock the door.
They did not follow the terms listed in the contract. It made us feel that we were working with an unlicensed company because their degree of respect, consideration, professionalism and expertise are almost none. We kept all the screen shots of all their text and messages and transcripts of communication with them. The whole experience is horrible, something we are regretting.
Homeowners, please do your homework. Do not be fooled by the fact that Titan Upgrades appears in social media or on billboards.
