    Felipe came out on Monday morning and veey quickly diagnosed the thermostat as broken. He even walked out to check the unit. He replaced the thermostat and now.our ac is working. Overall very smooth experience. Will definitely recommend American hvac and Felipe.

    They have not finalized final inspection and not returning my repeated calls to close it. If work done properly, why ignoring us?
    Emails, phone calls, Contact Us form to reach out, all didn’t get anyone from the office. We finally had to hire another HVAC company to fix their electrical and pipe violations on our own budget in order to clear inspection.

    We're very happy with the service today from Paul Diaz of American HVAC. (Less satisfied with the installation from early 2020, but that's for another review.) Paul was scheduled to provide routine maintenance on our HVAC. He called about 30 minutes before arriving to give us a head's up. He was very polite and professional, explained what he was going to do, did not seem rushed and was careful to not do any damage in disassembling and reassembling the cabinet of our system. I pointed out to him how a condensate drain tube was being pinched as it made a turn, and he helped to fix it. He showed me how to remove and replace the filter, and advised me to order new ones from Amazon.

    The American HVAC technician Steven clearly didn't know what he was doing when we put in a service call to fix a gas leak in our furnace line. Worse, after telling my wife that "there's nothing I can do", he then tried to get me to agree to pay $500 so he could disassemble the furnace and still attempt to fix the leak. When I asked him what exactly he was planning to do (after he had told us there was nothing he could do), why it would take that long, and be that costly, he fumbled all over himself in trying to explain the specific steps needed--none of which would even begin to approach the multiple hours he claimed would support such a fee.

    From the get go, Steven was cocky and arrogant-- attempting to bluster through the fact that he was clearly not comfortable handling what should have been an easy job (the PG and E technician had explained to me the night before exactly what had to be done to fix the gas leak where the intake line was connected to the valve box --simply disconnect the box, put some sealant on the pipe, and reattach the box and pressure test.). So we told him to just leave as he clearly didn't know what he was doing.

    After wasting time with this company, we called in AAA Furnace and Heating, which sent in a much more experienced person (Robert) who did exactly what was needed, in less than an hour all in, and for half the price Steven wanted to charge.

    When I tried to provide constructive feedback privately to the company, I never got a call back from the operations manager with whom I had left a message. So I guess this social media review will have to suffice.

    We know not to try American HVAC again!

    Just had our furnace serviced by Paul and Perry, couldn’t be happier. They arrived on time, after a courtesy call letting me know they were on their way. Spent a good hour or so checking all systems and fixed a small issue that now means everything is running efficiently. They both wore masks, shoe covers and were very courteous and conscious of Covid safety.

    I want to replace my old furnace and install a new AC. I asked American HVAC to give me a quote. Rody came and spent a whole hour to explain the details about HVAC for me. He seemed very sincere and I really appreciated his efforts, so I showed him the best quote I got and asked if they can match it. Rody said they will match whatever quote I got. After I accepted their final quote offer, they just disappeared for many days.

    When they finally replied, they said they cannot honor the quote and need to use another brand (American Standard to replace Bryant) due to out of stock issue. I personally do not believe there is any out-of-stock issue because other companies can do this job for me with the same models. I finally rejected their offer of changing brands.

    I am giving them 3-star only because Rody spent a lot of time and efforts when he first came, and I learned quite a lot about HVAC. However, this business does not honor their quote and their promise of matching the quotes from other companies. That wasted my time. If they could not match the price, I wish they could have just said no from the beginning.

    I have a client with a newborn in their home and the heater was not working properly. Given the cold mornings I was especially concerned! After two other heating and air-conditioning companies had booked a service call with me, and not showing up,… American HVAC responded to my call, within 24 hours without the home to do an assessment and within the next 24 hours, problem solved!!! Not only did they do an outstanding job, Brian Pepitone of American HVAC was extremely responsive and professional. Their rates were extremely fair and the job got done promptly! I will absolutely call the company the next time I have any heating and air-conditioning issues on any of my properties! They are the best!

    I scheduled a maintenance call for my A/C unit and furnace since it's been 15 years since I moved in and I read somewhere that you should have it looked at every other year so I knew I was overdue. I called around and liked American HVAC because they picked up right away and scheduled me into a one hour time slot I was rather pleasantly surprised when the technician showed up exactly on time and spent his time carefully inspecting the units and gave me some good options to either replace parts, replace the unit or just wait. I thought the advice was very fair and objective because he told me the risks and costs involved with each. I have already and would again recommend them just because of their honesty and transparency. You definitely don't get that with other companies.
