Two thumbs WAY up for Keith McCracken who was super efficient, knowledgeable and timely to diagnose a flaw in installation for our AC splitter unit. He was friendly, relatable, and I appreciated that he took his time to explain the system/flaw. He really went above & beyond for customer service. Thank you & good job!

We recently used American HVAC to get a new system installed. Everyone from the office employees to those that installed the ac were friendly, helpful and professional. We could not be happier with the service we received. We’re looking forward to a cool summer thanks to American hvac!

We received a regular tune up today from American HVAC. The price is good when you book early. The technician Rudy onsite is efficient and professional. He saved us last summer when our AC unit went out, and he did excellent today as well. We are happy to have our furnace running at its best before coldest days come up.

I’ve been having a problem with my furnace, and Rudy came to assess the problem. He was friendly and explained what was going on in a way that I could understand. I would happily recommend American HVAC to anyone who is having issues with their furnace!

Edited May 2023. I need to revise my positive review of American HVAC. I have had nothing but problems with the entire heating and air conditioning system they installed in August 2022. First, the heating system wasn't working. They blamed airflow in the ducting in my house, and I paid them another several thousand dollars to increase airflow. The heater works after this, but it took about 6 visits across two technicians to get here, and I've had to adjust my schedule each time to accomodate their technicians. Now, the heater works but the AC doesn't. I have no faith in this company, and continue to pour my time and money into their visits, only to repeatedly have them fix one part of my HVAC system while breaking another. Save your time and go with someone else.

DON'T WASTE TIME, ENERGY AND YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY!

I kept stressing to the "salesman" I want an equivalent system. He answered "how much you want to pay?" That should have stopped me there, but I was naive that I thought he was going to help me get a good price. All he cared about was making the sale and then he disappeared.

Rather than write everything where not many have the time or patience to read or write here are the quick points.

- I didn't get an "equivalent" system
- they gave me a lower model stating it would be barely a difference-NO
- installed incorrectly
- 99% of the installers including supervisor are not skilled to do the job
- multiple appointments with cancelations and need another tech person that has to "come again"
- Non responsive management, they will avoid speaking to you if you have a lot or complaints
- Gave me a new system that was faulty and said it would be replaced. I kept calling and asking if I could upgrade and they never responded and then gave me the exact same unit but new.
- They don't fix but bandaid issues.
- They claim to "take care of it" the extra electric bill that was due to they system running on 24/7, then later installed or had a bad system they lie and then blame it on something
- they say whatever they can to pacify you, but never truly address the issue

Currently the system clanks and simmers my lights so I am back to the canceled appointments, revolving poor workers, and hoping this nightmare will end. Sadly I wish it would die completely so I will be rid of their company. The suppose it $2000 I was "saving" with them was easily taken up by the extremely high electric bill because they "forgot" to turn on the air conditioning part of the system when installed. (Oh btw, they kept saying "We'll take care of you- they don't)

My previous system was installed and I never had a problem OR maintenance until it died 13 years later. This sorry system needs to have leaks fixed and who know what else. I don't know because they don't know!!

Today Kirk Was here to fix my air conditioning unit. It was currently running, but not cooling. He first called to confirm his arrival time, which I greatly appreciated! He was extremely professional, friendly, and clearly knowledgeable. He quickly assessed the air-conditioning system, and provided me with options and explanations of each, so that I can make an educated decision. Without asking, he provided photos of what he was doing each step of the way. I greatly appreciate him taking the time to explain the issues, and for putting me at ease regarding my air conditioning needs in the future. When I start to look at upgrading to a newer system, I will absolutely come back to American HVAC. Thank you, Kirk!! :)

We're sad to leave this review, as our overall experience with American HVAC was a fairly good one in terms of the installation and functionality of the system. Unfortunately American HVAC moved forward with this installation without pulling a building permit, and they did not disclose this to us. Our contract with American HVAC was inclusive of them pulling the building permit and overseeing all inspections and receiving final approval upon project completion. It was only discovered after the installation was complete that no permit had been pulled and only when we inquired about inspections and finalization of the permit. We've been trying to resolve this matter with them for nearly 6 months now and they have been completely unresponsive to us since October.

My AC went out during the recent heat wave. American sent their supervisor tech and he did a great job showing me the parts, how the system works and replaced what the problem was.
He also provided recommendations for general upkeep, which I did not know about.

I believe the pricing was fair. Not in expensive but it was not in the thousands.

They also provide discounted packages that made the most sense.

His work was neat and clean - he had booties to enter the house.

He finish within 90 minutes - considering he had to diagnose and replace parts.

They also provide a confirmation txt the day before.

I recommend American.

Felipe was amazing. Communicated the issue clearly and how he was going to address the problem I was facing. Also took the time to investigate other ways of improving my HVAC system in a safe manner. Even though he ran late due to the heat wave, he stayed late to ensure I was well taken care of. Knowledgeable and great customer service!
