High Performance Heating and Air

Alex came out quickly when my AC went out in the heat of summer. My Lennox outside unit broke 5 years after installation, and was very expensive and complicated to replace. Alex called Lennox and researched whether his recommended unit would work with my indoor Lennox system. It turns out that it did. Alex’s price was very affordable for the type of job he did. He was also very quick to start and finish the job. I appreciate his taking the time to call me and spend a lot of time explaining my repair options, and answer all the questions I had about my AC. I’ve worked with other AC companies before, and Alex is much less expensive for service calls, and a lot more pleasant to deal with than others.

Outstanding service! I called High Performance Heating and Air based on a referral. Murphy's Law ensured our AC failed on the hottest day on a holiday weekend. Alex responded quickly and was able to pinpoint the problem with our AC condenser unit outside, correcting a major safety issue overlooked by a previous repair company. He looked over the rest of the system to ensure everything was in order. I appreciate how he gave a good window for arriving and sent a text when he was on his way, explained his diagnosis fees over the phone and provided an estimate on site. Fair, reasonable, skillful and honest. Much appreciated!!

I didn’t want to replace my HVAC system until I found someone who would assist me in making a good decision rather than selling me a system. Alex has more than exceeded my expectations. In addition to replacing my system, he made some minor modifications to the ducts in my attic. My total costs were less than quoted by other companies. And the minor tweaks he made to my ducts made a surprisingly significant difference. I recommend this company highly.

We had a wonderful experience with Alex with High Performance Heating and Air, he diagnosed our problem and did the repair same day, he's prices were very reasonable. I would recommend Alex to everyone. He's a very honest technician.

Usually I just read reviews, not in the habit of posting them but ever since my AC split system in our rental property kicked the bucket I was in search of a good, trustworthy company that can fix it quickly. My tenants were left without AC in 100°+ heat so I called around and many HVAC techs were booked 3-5 days out. Came across High Performance heating and air, I was impressed with great reviews and decided to call them. Spoke with Alex in the evening and in the morning he diagnosed the issue. Turns out, our tenants ruined our AC by hiring someone on the side who added the wrong Freon to our R-22 only system, and basically rendered it useless. At this point it made more sense to retire our 20+ year old AC unit rather than to deep vacuum it and refill it with R22. With two different types refrigerants in AC system, according to some HVAC websites compressor was a goner anyways. Besides, in 2020 R22 Freon will be phased out/ banned and recharging your old AC units will cost you an arm and a leg. Alex quoted me $5K for new 2 ton Trane R410a split system (furnace and AC) with installation, inspection permit, HERS test and haul away old unit. Just to be sure I was getting a good deal, I’ve also called another local HVAC company for free quote. Their total was $11,800 for the same system. To make a long story short, Alex installed everything in one day and inspections were done the following two consecutive days. All in all, I’m happy, and my tenants are as cool as ice. It saved me a good chunk of money. I’ll be sure to update my review if I have any issues down the road but so far so good and I hope (wishful thinking) we get 20 more years out of this system.
