Double Check Cooling and Heating

I live in California and the A/C in a rental I have in Scottsdale decided to die right on the 4th of July. Stephen responded really fast and got a new unit in right away. I really appreciated his honesty, sound recommendations, and extremely fair price. I feel so much better knowing that my tenant is cool again and that I know Stephen for any future issues that I may have with my rentals in AZ. I have had really bad to mediocre experiences with A/C contractors in AZ and CA before. Highly recommend. Don't look anywhere else, just go with Stephen!!

A friend of mine recommended Double Check Cooling and Heating. I called and the owner Stephen Nodzak was able to arrive the very next day . Stephen was professional, knowledgeable and did a great job. I have an older AC system, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. They identified the problem very quickly and solved it by replacing 60+5 run cap and replaced disconnect box. He didn’t try to upsell me, but educated me about what he was doing and why. Stephen informed me of the benefits of a new system, but didn’t push anything. I definitely trust him and will use him as my A/C company in the future. Honest, straight up, friendly. Great experience!

Amazing, professional, and all the above!! This company installed my AC and I am extremely happy with the work they did . Meeting with the owner of this company to get an estimate was a five star experience. He was open, honest, and he was not a car salesman. He stated the facts answered all questions and made himself available if there were other issues or concerns or questions that needed his attention before he even took on this job. Stephen from Double Check came to repair my ac unit, which was on its last legs, didn't think it could be done, but he made it happen. He uses only the best parts, but you'd never know it looking at the price, which is more than reasonable. He always has a smile on his face, and I highly recommend him and Double Check HVAC over any other local ac or heater repair company. He recently installed a new ac unit for a friend I recommended him to, and she said he did an excellent job, offered a great price, and explained every detail of what was going wrong. You can't go wrong with Double Check for any HVAC need anywhere in the Valley!!

After years of having hot spots in my house, Stephen replaced my ac unit with a larger one and I was finally able to cool down my house. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate that he always answered the phone and was able to respectfully answer all of my questions about the installation. Since then, he is my go to for any maintenance or concerns I have.

Steph at Double Check is the best Phoenix ac repair guy in the valley hands down! Double Check HVAC replaced my entire hvac system on my Glendale home as well as my rental property in Gilbert, a testament to how far he's willing to travel to get the job done. Not only is Double Check 1000x better than any of the big HVAC companies in Phoenix, they always, ALWAYS answer the phone no matter what! Cannot recommend them any higher.

Had a great experience with double check. Called about a broken compressor second option, owner came over in 20 min to reassure me that was the problem. He took ownership of the issue and called the company’s warranty dept. He even let me know I was being taking advantage of by a big box competitor (snarker & pons;) I would highly recommend and will use again. Thanks!

My old AC started acting up on a weekend of course. Stephen was there the very next morning and problem fixed. By far the fairest price around. First and only call every time.
