Competition Cooling and Heat

Jason is totally responsive to my heating and cooling needs. My old York was wearing out after being in use for over 30 years. He limped it along until it was no longer feasible to do so. We agreed on a new day and night heat pump which he ordered during the 🔥 🥵 hottest part of the summer. It took about three weeks 😳 due to the well known shortage but as soon as it arrived he called to install. He and his associate Mark installed that new baby in less than 7 hours. They came out of my attic looking like they had been swimming. The unit is working like a charm and my house has never been so comfortable. Yearly check up and Jason answers his cell and is prompt and down to 🌎 Earth.

My wife and I have several properties that we rent out. The AC repairman that we use to use retired a few years ago, and we have tried this company on twice, the last time was on June 11, 2022 VERY EARLY in the morning. Our tenant called us to advise that the AC was not working. Our original AC repairman said that sooner or later the AC for this particular house would need replacing (it's over 20 years old). So, we were expecting having to buy a new unit, estimating about $6,000.00. WITHIN TWO HOURS of us calling Competition Cooling and Heat, they responded and FIXED the problem, at the very reasonable price of $605.00! I've no doubt we paid a little more due to it being the weekend and early in the morning, as other AC repair companies have charged us for. So it was a very unexpected low price that I gladly paid. I recommend this company without reservation. Further, I checked the costs for the parts replaced and saw that some did cost less and other more for both parts, but the price they charged us was a mid-range price. Since I'm not an expert in AC repair, I can't be sure that the CHEAP priced items were the correct items. I do know that for an OEM capacitor would have cost me more if I bought it elsewhere. I'd give them 6 stars if I could!

Jason and his team at Competition Cooling did a great job all around. They first inspected the old unit at the condo I was buying, provided a detailed summary of recommendations and then helped to recommend a unit that fit the size and specs of the condo. I never got the feeling they were trying to oversell me, rather, they wanted to make sure it was the right unit for the size of the condo. They were knowledgeable, professional and easy to work with. Jason spent some time talking to me about the unit options so that I could be educated on my decision. A few months later I am loving how great the A/C is working. It blows very cool throughout the house and is energy efficient. The price was fair and they were great to work with. I would highly recommend them to friends, family and others. AC started started going out at 9pm. Called Jason at 8 in the morning and he was at our house at 9. My unit is 18 years old and had a bad capacitor and needed to be charged up. I have now doubt most companies would try to sell me a new AC unit. Jason was very knowledgeable and explained that it could still last years. His prices were very fair and when it does go out I will use him to replace it. Honest people are hard to find these days so I would highly recommend Jason and his company. So... this is two months from the start of this review and my fan went out. Instead of having an issue every other week we decided to replace the unit. Jason with Competition AC went out to his van and opened a brand new fan motor as a loaner so we didn’t have to move animals out etc. The customer service is over and above. New AC works beautifully. Quiet and efficient.

A friend referred me to Mark who came out within 20 minutes to help me with my AC unit. He had everything done within an hour and now my AC is running cooler than what it has in years. After his recommendation he set my settings from high to middle because I didn't need them running that high. So not only did he have me up and running within an hour and a half of calling, but he also is saving me a ton of money. These are the guys to hire!

Our ac went out last night; I called our hvac company since they are open 24 - 7. After 2 unreturned phone calls and not looking forward to one of the hottest days of the year, I moved on. I was referred to Jason at Competition Cooling. And so glad I was. He was able to service our ac within four hours of my initial call. Jason was courteous, professional and on-time. Within one hour, he replaced parts on both units, explained why we needed them, and what additional replacement parts we would be looking at down the road. I really can't say enough good things about this family-owned company. Jason has worked on our units for years! We have ac/heat and a swamp cooler. He was always on time and ready to work. He explained everything in easy to understand terms. Pricing was always upfront and never changed. The work was always done correctly the 1st time. And when we had our ac unit replaced, he had several recommendations for us- not just a "you need this one" attitude. He was licensed to do all of the warranty work and did our seasonal maintenance as well. Nothing but great things to say about this company and Jason!

Very responsive returning my message I left on a Tuesday night calling wed morning and was out wed afternoon. Jason serviced our aging ac 2 years ago and it, unfortunately, finally broke down. Jason and his associate installed a new ac punctually arriving at 630 and it took the entire day for installation. Very pleased with the service and looking forward to using a more efficient ac unit. My air conditioner went out at 3 am. It was projected to be 110 degrees today. Jason was the only business who answered his phone at 7 am. He had a great attitude and was at my house within 30 min. Got to love it when an owner of his business shows up and likes what he does for a living. I will definitely call upon Jason again.
