I am highly disappointed and will never recommend their services to my worst enemy. We live in Alaska, it's winter and I have had no heat or hot water for over two weeks at this point. Let's not forget I have a four year old. They have been here 5 times and has assured me everytime that it will be fixed yet nothing has been corrected. It seems that they have poor communication and listening skills.

I called, Alkota came running to help. My water heater is crammed back into a very tight corner and it slowed things down a bit, but that's no surprise. I rate my experience very high on the positive side of the scale. Extra kudos to Joe for rescuing my dog after he decided that the yawning hole into the crawlspace was too interesting to explore. I would never have been able to get him out on my own.

Over priced for the job. $350 for switching out a faucet? That's ridiculous. Avoid the company as they are over priced for a simple service.

I will say that the plumber was respectful, and well versed in his field

Pam needs to be FIRED!!!
She’s the worst employee that they have, she needs to go back and learn about customer service & or apply with mcdonalds. She answers the phone and responds to clients like she’s order taking at a fast food restaurant. I can’t with her and I hope she gets terminated soon. Bad reputation for the company.

Curt is a very friendly and competent plumber but Alkota is pricing themselves out of the market. $300 to replace 4 inches of copper in less than hour is excessive.

If you could give this place zero stars I would...I stayed home all day waiting for them, only to be called by my landlord to say they weren't coming and the excuse was they had an emergency come up... you don't bump someone with an appointment when its not fully even winter in Alaska and say its because someone else has an emergency..so when my furnaces go out because you didn't do your job in the first place, I'm supposed to be ok with it because you made a choice to make more money instead of keep your schedule...how about you hire enough staff during the winter to cover the emergencies and the not emergencies yet as well...this company is unprofessional and lacks compassion for people who waste their time on them...DONT WASTE TIME OR MONEY ON THEM...

I never received the quote that I paid $80 for. Just use someone else. Most other companies don’t charge for quotes anyway

Pam in the front office is awful. The plumber who came out last time did a great job. But Pam needs to be fired.

Worst ever...$ 402 service fee for one hour of routine boiler & hot water maintenance...I later called a competitor whose estimate for same service was only $ 185.....Then the Alkota service mgr named Todd would not return my calls to discuss the excessive overcharge...20 years a customer , but no more...

This company is a joke!! Worse plumbing and heating company in Anchorage starting with the office lady and following through with the "technician".
