Our HSA home warranty group assigned this group to do our pre-winter check on the furnace. During the check we were told (and shown) that our heat exchanger is done. We need to replace the part (or the whole unit, that was not made clear during the visit). HSA called within minutes of the tech leaving from the pre-season check and they tell me I have to do another fee for the service. I knew that. Fine. Pay the service fee and we are now just over 2 weeks out from that visit. First I'm told by Aire Serv they're waiting for the part to come in. Okay. Then I'm told Aire Serv and HSA don't know who's providing the part. How hard is that to figure out? Then I'm told by HSA they're waiting for a detailed breakdown of repair and associated costs before they can approve the repair. And that takes more than a week? Then I'm told by HSA the order is approved and has been sent over to Aire Serv. Aire Serv tells me they haven't received that approval. Call HSA again and find out, no, it's still pending authorization, they're still waiting for the breakdown. And that's what I demanded my service fee back and started making calls to other companies directly. Screw this. I'd rather pay for the whole damn repair than continue to be told a bunch of BS. Neither company is following up with one another unless the customer calls and meanwhile the temps are starting to get cooler. Won't be renewing HSA and will not be using Aire Serv again. The only reason for the 2 stars is for getting the information that we need a repair done.
I had an electronic air cleaner installed in my furnace in December 2019. Having two dogs in the house there’s always a lot of dust and dog hair they get sucked into the furnace. I couldn’t be happier with this new electronic air cleaning service. It makes your house smell like there’s clean oxygen floating throughout the house. They came out today And serviced electronica air cleaner they were very professional, very knowledgeable, and very personable,. I am extremely happy with their service and would recommend them to anybody. Thank you for doing a great job
Great customer service. Besides scheduling service and replacement unit installation, Aire Serv texted a picture of the technician that would arriving to provide the service. Aire Serv provided great follow-up after work completed.
I normally try to avoid giving out bad reviews but in this case it's hard to ignore. Our system started to smell like something was burning, so we got the "lead technician" to come out and look at the system. Unfortunately the day they came to check it out only my 8 month old pregnant wife could be there....they must of thought being a woman they'd take advantage of that because not even after being there for 5 minutes they make a diagnosis. The tech claimed the A coil inside the furnace needed to be cleaned as well as the whole duct system. The thing that made me very upset is that they tried to offer my wife a special. Here it is...cleaning of the a coil and ducts for $950.00!! I was blown away by that price so I contacted another company, this time being honest and fair from a different company they opened up the furnace to find that the A coil was actually pretty clean!! He is providing the proper cleaning service at 1/4 of the price basically. Don't get scammed by these techs. We're in a pandemic, people are hurting for money but that does not give them the right to steal from people! On top of all this the lead tech made an appt to fix the motor and never showed up. Only reason they did any repairs is because I went through warranty otherwise would of never called them again
Our HSA company which was also a terrible experience made us use Air Serve in order to replace our furnace when we found it pumping out a gas smell outside of our home. After 21 days without heat in our home in November 2020 with three young children , we finally got a new furnace. Only to find out the wrong furnace had been installed, this was probably more the fault of our HSA then it was of air serv.But when they came to install the right furnace, they installed it un-level. They also damaged our staircase down to the basement by taking a gauge out of one of the steps. The installer told me that it should be an eight hour job and was very proud when he finished in only a couple hours I was weary of the job that was done. We had to have them come back out and fix it and even have their manager come watch them do it. Now we are six months out from their installation and found the following Issues with furnace setup: 1. Nest thermostat had no common (always on) wire, so it constantly ran on battery while also trying to stay charged. 2. Control lines to AC were switched 3. Furnace unit was never programmed to run our AC unit
We ended up using our trusted HVAC company to come for these issues and paid out of pocket because of the nightmare of dealing with our HSA again or dealing with this company. I would be very weary hiring this company. I felt like the woman on the phone was kind and understanding and apparently someone in the company was ill at the time however the people that came to the install did not know what they were doing. For the safety of your house and your family please go with another company.
I’ve been using these guys for a few years for my rental properties. They are always responsive and extremely reasonable. They do good work and follow up if there are ever issues. Good communication and excellent notifications for technician appointments.
The installer, the person that answers the phone & the person that gives the assessment we’re all professional. I was kept well informed and installation was very timely. Nothing bad with the install except American Shield who dropped the ball for over a month.
Angel came out to our business for the first time to replace our thermostats. He went out his way to willing to help our business heating and cooling problems. He took his time out to help us understand everything. That meant a lot. This company there staff from the time I called to schedule appointment to everything. So respectful. I will be calling them for our next business.
The furnace they installed was bigger than the original causing them to have to remove the surrounding trim and doorway for our furnace. Now, in 20 degree weather we have large drafts coming from our furnace room where they didn't repair the trim and door after they promised to make it right.
