We highly recommend Knauer Plumbing as they have completely redone the plumbing in our old home from all new copper piping to new kitchen sink, dishwasher, basement shower, and two bathrooms. Buzz is knowledgeable and did a very neat job of the plumbing. We have enjoyed working with him as he is pleasant and easy to have around. This summer a new furnace installation went smoothly. (We didn't tell them that this new furnace actually cost $500 less than the one did 21 years ago). The furnace we had before was actually oversized and Kevin was very careful to calculate the size of the new furnace. Kevin had the air conditioning working on the first day of a two day installation. He is professional with clear communication and answered all my many questions. It is always a pleasure to work with Knauer, our neighborhood plumbing company. We have referred neighbors to Knauer and they have always been pleased.

Knauer is always very responsive .They are very fair and honest in their appraisal of problems. I use them for both heating and plumbing issues.-for over 15 years. I once had a toilet that overflowed on my third floor and they came within 30 minutes to fix it and basically saved my home! We recently lost the heat in our home and i feared we would need a new boiler-an expense i dreaded during this current crisis time. Knauer replaced a valve and it was fixed! I highly recommend them.

Highly recommended. Had a very good experience. Hot water heater wasn't working so I called them and they kind of knew what was wrong after I explained the problem over the phone. They didn't charge trip charge. I called couple other places with great reviews on Google. All of them were interested in coming and charging a trip charge. None of them were interested in listening to the water heater problem. "Buzz" from Knauer arrived within an hour after I called. Fixed the hot water heater and the charge was very reasonable, one third of what others quoted. Has been 4 months since the service, no issue yet. Really really happy with Knauer plumbing service, reasonable rates, honest tech who won't over charge or try to over sell you. Highly recommended!

We have been using Knauer Plumbing, Heating & Cooling for almost 30 years. They are friendly, accommodating, clean, professional and never try to overcharge or sell you unneeded services. They explain what the problem is, do an excellent job taking care of it and are efficient without cutting corners. I always feel confident in their work.

I recently had a very good experience with 2 young gentlemen from Knauer. Jordan and Nick, they were prompt, polite and pleasant. It is wonderful to see young people learning the trades. They are definitely good will ambassador for the East side family business. I've been a Knauer customer for over thirty years, and have always found them to be courteous, prompt, cost-competitive, and efficient. I've had my furnace, water heater and airconditioning installed and serviced with Knauer and have always had an excellent experience. It's nice having familiar service people and staff to talk to about my issues. They always know who I am and treat me like I matter.

I called late on a Friday afternoon because my furnace wasn't working. I spoke with the owner who assured me that she could get a tech out within the hour. He showed up in 30 minutes. Yay me. He was able to diagnose and repair the problem with my furnace within the hour and I was heated and happy. I feel that the professional service I received was worth every penny. I am so glad that I contacted Knauer...The hose from our kitchen sink faucet began leaking. Your employee Jordan noted that our hot water outpour was also very thin. We discussed and I decided to buy a new faucet...it was installed. AND the hot water Outpour was back to normal!!!! [I had been told that the Problem was the water pipes in my home we’re so old and narrowed.] I am so glad that I called Knauer!

I will start with: I did not use this company for service. I did, however, get an estimate from them. I am rating them 2 stars because the person who inspected didn't even look at anything closely. He just took my input and assumed I knew what I was talking about. Note: I am not a plumber so how would I know what is wrong.

I had an issue with the hot water pressure to my kitchen sink and basement utility sink. The estimate said I would need the pipes leading to that to be replaced. They quoted me for 940 dollars total.

Flash forward and I got a second opinion. Turns out the aerator was the issue on the utility sink. How do you not check the aerator if you are a plumber? That's the most common issue. Anyways, the work on the pipes still needs to be done, but I have a different professional coming in for half the cost now.

I'm giving them 3 stars still, because the women on the phone were nice and I didn't get any work from them to know what kind of job they do.

Always get multiple bids when hiring contractors. Don't always take the lowest bid, but definitely use logic in picking workers.
