Lennox Stores (Parts Plus)

My AC unit was installed in 2015. I purchased the home in 2017. In 2019, the evaporator coil leaked and needed to be replaced. Lennox covers the cost of the part, $75, but covers none of the installation labor or Freon recharge, which was around $1500 in 2019. Apparently they assume anyone who has their products in their home is qualified and comfortable installing an evaporator coil and recharging Freon. Otherwise they'd cover the labor cost and Freon recharge cost that will ALWAYS come with a coil failure. At that time, the system was 4 years old. Here we are in 2023, 4 years after the evaporator coil was replaced, and it's leaking again. Once again, Lennox takes no responsibility. They'll give me the part and that is all. They pass the buck to the contractor, who passes the buck right back to Lennox. Lennox already lost a class action suit in 2015 regarding repeated evaporator coil failure. It appears they've taken nothing away from that. Buyer beware. There are plenty of other AC options out there. This company does not make a quality product nor will they stand by their products.
