    The Brothers “Technician” showed up at my home and spent no more than five minutes “evaluating” my furnace/AC unit. He then informed me that based on his “expert” opinion, it would be (at least) a $1300 repair.
    He let me know that he didn’t have the necessary parts required to do the repair in his truck, but assured me that he’d have them within a couple days.
    I asked him to hold off on the order, as I wanted to seek additional bids.
    Within the same couple days, I had the job done (in a very satisfactory and timely manner) by Southport Home Services in Caledonia WI, for $350.00.
    A SAVINGS of $950.00.
    When I received a $95.00 bill from Brothers Consolidated for a “diagnostic” visit, I called their billing department and explained that I was surprised when a call actually intended to render a (completely RIDICULOUS) quote would be subject to a “service” charge of $95.
    I explained that in light of the minimal time involved, that there was nothing “diagnostic” about it. The so called “technician” was clearly nothing more than a guy who drove around all day providing outrageous quotes, hoping that if he threw enough against the wall, something might stick!
    I went on to explain that I could get lots of idiot quotes for free…but then of course I was threatened with “being turned over to a collection service” so…today I mailed these terrible business people a check.
    Maybe I should be grateful that it only cost me $95.00 to pay for the worst experience I’ve had dealing with a service provider in years…but I certainly don’t feel grateful!!
    On the contrary!! I fully expected people in this part of the country to take greater pride in the way they conduct their business affairs, and the way they treat potential customers.
    Disappointed with Brothers Consolidated would be a huge understatement.
    I can’t imagine being LESS INCLINED TO RECOMMEND a company, for any type of service having to do with heating or air-conditioning.

    My mother used Brothers Consolidated for the new furnace and AC unit in the home I now live in.
    When I wanted to have the system checked out for the coming winter and to see if the humidifier was still in working condition, there was no question.
    They took excellent care of my mom's needs and now with the service I received this week, myself as well.
    Logan was an excellent technician and I am satisfied that my system is working.

They installed a new system that is beyond fantastic. Love the responsiveness and the attention to detail. They always take care of us, even on short notice.     Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with this company. In the middle of August our a/c was not blowing cold air. One of their service tech's came on a Wednesday and said that he didn't see anything wrong and just added more frion. That didn't work so I called a few times on Saturday and sent an email as well. Keep in mind that Brothers promises emergency service and after hours service. This is a complete lie. I called and left messages (when I could) and no one returned my call. Also their voice mailbox was full on other lines so i couldn't even leave a message. I had to go to their location first thing Monday morning to ask them for help. They said they had issues with Spectrum phone lines as the reason they couldn't answer calls. They were able to check the a/c on Monday and said i needed a new a/c unit (5k cost) - this is a completely different approach from the previous Wednesday. Fortunately, they were able to install it the same day. Bare in mind this was the hottest time of the year. They install the new unit and the motor keeps turning on/off every 15 seconds. Of course, no one is available after hours so i have to wait the following day. When i talked to the service guy the next day, he was very arrogant and said that it takes a while for a new unit to cool a hot house but he will do a "courtesy call" to walk me through the process in a condescending tone. He comes the next day and finds out that one of the lines wasn't welded properly. He fixed the BRAND NEW INSTALLED UNIT and is very apologetic. I asked him to get me in touch with the owner to share my experience and he said he would. I followed up with a few emails to the company asking to talk to the owner - no response. To be fair, maybe some of this was really bad luck. But the arrogance from this company was brutal.
