Lucas Heating And Air

I bought and had installed new AC last June 2020, 30 days later it didn’t work properly. It has been a nightmare ever since. Lucas came out initially to look at it and said it had a small leak and the refrigerant leaked out. He said they would come back another day to fix it.
Since that time (a year ago) I have called and text countless times. I had to have another AC company come add more refrigerant just to keep us cool, at a cost of $500 to me. The whole time Lucas would say they were coming and would fix it. This summer he has set up four separate appointments with me, and just failed to show up or call to fix the problem. Those days I took off work early, had to keep my AC off in 90 degree heat with my son and dog in the house- for him to not even show up. He has no ethics and apparently cuts corners in installing- when I had the other AC company come out to add refrigerant they said it looked like a very sloppy job.
Don’t ever use this company! And if anyone has a similar experience please respond as I plan to go to small claims court.

I'm just writing the review just now from when they installed my new HVAC system because I was waiting to see if there were any issues with the system, and based on my experience they deserve 5million Stars not just for their great awesome customer service but because of the promises kept, and to top it off they are not really into the HVAC business to just make money but to help people have a comfortable life. I have been telling everyone at work about them. They are a great help for the Hispanic community because they speak Spanish. They really care for the human race to have a comfortable life with great equipment, labor and customer service for your home, I would totally recommend them in a heartbeat.

Lucas is great. We have been using his business with our business for years and had him install 5 furnace and A/C units in our rental houses as they get older and need repaired. They are always on time and get the job done quickly. I have waited for him to come instead of other contractors just because he will show up and get the job done at a fair price. I'm not related to this guy or his crew. I'm just a happy customer and recommend this business to everyone that needs it. Now don't make him too busy so he doesn't have time to come do my work :)

I called Lucas Heating and Air three times to set up times for them to service a unit they installed on a house we purchased. They dropped the ball each time saying they would send some one over to check it out. They don't communicated well; you'll need to continually bug them to get them to come see you. We haven't seen them as of yet. I will definitely change my review if I see something improve.

I called Lucas because he installed an AC for me 5 years ago. Once again I am so glad I chose him. He and his team are very professional, fast, polite and skillful. They came on time and installed 2 ACs and one furnace within one day. They did such a wonderful job! The price is very competitive. I would recommend him to anyone without reservation.

I have had Lucas replace furnace and AC in two homes. They work quickly and are the best value in town. Do not hesitate to call them.

Absolutely the best prices in town... but that price comes at a cost.

Very poor communication and follow through. Missed appointments and not having my calls or texts returned for weeks.

The tech's left the job unfinished and it took weeks to get them out to finish up.

Holes made in drywall went unfixed.

They installed the wrong size filter in the new furnace.

Lucas at Lucas Air is very knowledgeable, they know what they are doing. They were prompt when they came out to give me a bid and answered my thousand questions, and they were quick to come out to do the install. Lucas Air set up the new furnace perfectly with my existing Sensi thermostat. So far I am very pleased with how the new Goodman furnace is working.

I would not recommend Lucas Heating and Air. I called them and we scheduled my furnace/AC install to be done on a Friday morning. Not only did they not show up at all but they wouldn't answer any of my phone calls or the email I sent. Then they told me they would be at my house Monday at 1:00pm. They didn't show up until after 4. So much time wasted waiting!! The Technicians were good, but for the price I would definitely go with a more reputable company.

UPDATE: at the time of install I showed this valve that came with my AC unit to the tech DN he said he had never seen anything like it, so of course didn't install it. It turns out it's a TXV valve. Apparently pretty common in the HVAC world. So now I have to hire someone else to come out it in for me.
