I called and spoke with someone named Bill about having the vent on my furnace changed so that it would hug the furnace and not stick out as I want to install sheet rock and have the furnace in its own room. Bill said they would come out and see what I needed, no mention of a service fee whatsoever. Bill called later after the serviceman left to inform me that the charge would be a whopping $250 + to change the vent and install some sort of sensor that they said I needed every 6 years. When I balked at the charge he said they would take off the $69 sensor and only charge me $189 to change the vent, then lowered his price to $155 when I still wasn't buying his line. He asked, "Did I tell you we were giving you a free estimate? Nobody does free estimates in this business." I was disgusted by then. He went on to tell me that I could call Action Dog for $33, they would come out and break my furnace, then charge me a lot of money for the repair. Well, enough said. Tearing down another business is the final blow; I would never recommend this company

It's very scary calling hvac people. You never know how much it's going to cost and who is coming out. We had the best experience with CMC. From Bill trouble shooting with us over the phone for 30 minutes over Memorial Day weekend and Cody coming out and doing a Suparb job.
Very professional and helpful the entire time. Pricing is beyond reasonable. We will definitely be using them again in the future.

I would not recommend using CMC Heating and Air Conditioning as in my experience they have been an unprofessional and dishonest company. Although their maintenance on our furnace was acceptable to our knowledge, there are many other local, family-owned businesses in the area that are much more professional, can do good work, and don't leave your stomach turning after interactions with them. The two main reasons why I wouldn't use this company again are: 1) They were dishonest in charging us for the replacement of a $74 part (it wasn't even broken, it was just a "suggested" preventative replacement I found out) when we were not notified or asked for approval before doing this work. I was easily accessible in the house during their visit and could have easily been asked. It wasn't until after I received the bill in the mail that I found out about it (FYI they don't breakdown their charges on their invoices either so you have no idea of what you are paying for that is adding up to the total, especially when it is almost twice as much as they quoted you initially for their maintenance visit so you are forced to spend time contacting them to get any answers). 2) Which brings me to my second reason, unprofessionalism. When I contacted the company about the higher than quoted bill, I was told that the extra charge was for this part replacement. I then asked why I hadn't been notified at the time of the service, especially if it wasn't a necessary repair. I was told that I most certainly was notified of it, because their repair person never makes mistakes so I basically must have either forgotten or must have not been listening. I was taken a back by this as I am an incredibly reasonable person who if I had been notified of this expense I would not be contacting them in the first place and also if this man would have simply apologized and said that it must have been a terrible oversight on their part, I would have been disappointment but not upset. He stuck by this (insulting me in the process by saying that I clearly was told when I wasn't). I then let them know that I would be paying the bill but most likely would not be using them again. He then calls me back a few minutes later and leaves a message letting me know that he had talked to the service person and that he thought he had told me of the charge when he was here, but that they could come by and take out the new part and put the old part in if that mattered (which wasn't even the issue) -- no apology or no acknowledgement for charging us for something that we never authorized. In additional to the interaction surrounding the unapproved charge, they have been consistently late to scheduled maintenance appointments. On this past visit the repair man was almost two hours late, rushed in, was at our furnace for barely 30 minutes (we were paying close to $100 for this annual maintenance visit), and practically ran out the door with only saying your invoice will come in the mail -- no other update or information. It felt very much like he was just trying to do the job as fast as possible to catch up for being behind schedule, and left me wondering how good of a job he had done (in past years, doing the same job without any part replacement, it took 45-60 mins).
Don't waste your time, go with another local owned heating and cooling company that makes you happy to do business with them.

Excellent service when our furnace went out over the weekend. They replaced our furnace and checked out the air ducts to make sure the warm air was getting to every room. They went the extra mile by giving us some tips on keeping the furnace working properly for years to come. Thanks CMC.

I called cmc to see if they would come look at and repair a central air unit that had stopped working. The technician was 2 hours later than the time window they gave, didn't perform any service other than saying it was likely the fan motor and compressor, and then charged $96 for this "service".
Edit: After posting this I have received harassing phone calls about my review. I will not be removing the review.

had a great experience with bill and tracy delt with a couple of other company before calling cmc i was frustrated and they worked with me and in just a couple of days it was done tu bill and tracy
