They installed my furnace and central air they always do a good job servicing it.

So my furnace kept cutting off. They came to look at it, and the issue was my air filter. I did replace it recently (around 3 weeks).
Now I'm no expert, but the tech pointed at the "3m" on my filter and said "this 3m is the airflow rating. Your furnace is not compatible with 3m". No sir, that is the manufacturer. The rating was a mrv5. They replaced the filter. But the issue started again a couple weeks later. Taking a look at the filter they replaced the filter with a mrv8. An even more restricting filter.
They should have listened to me and perhaps suggested cleaning my vents so the filter is not so clogged so fast, or switched to an mrv 3 filter? I just feel lied to, and that the tech was pretty ignorant. The worst part is he was with a trainer who should have said something.
