One reason I liked this company from the start is that they offered to diagnose the problem FREE of charge! Another company I called wanted to charge $75 to diagnose the problem and they said the $75 did NOT go toward the repair?!! So, I searched for other companies who repaired heating/air conditioning and that is how I came across Marks.
I called Marks yesterday after hours and was able to get a technician on the phone. He listened to my problem and took down my information. Then he asked if today or tomorrow worked to have someone come out to look at things. Since it was a localized issue (problem cooling just one room) I said that was fine. The next day (today) he called me and asked it he could head toward my home to inspect the unit. (Yay for promptness and for his follow-through - that is RARE here in San Angelo!) Brandon arrived and found the problem quickly and repaired it. He also found two other small issues that he addressed while he was checking out the unit.
While I hope we don't have any more a/c issues, I can say with certainty that IF we do, we will give Marks a call FIRST because they have won me as a customer for as long as we live in San Angelo! 5 stars for customer service and fixing the issue!

We had Mark's put in a new heater and AC unit 4 years ago when we bought the house. During these past 4 years I have had them out twice a year for maintenance. Also during the 4 years i have had a leak in the laundry room and bathroom that we just couldn't find! Finally, I called my contractor and told him to do whatever it took but find the problem. Well, it seems that when Mark's installed our unit they connected the condensation drain tube to an existing line in the attic. That would have been fine IF they had checked the line and made sure it was draining where it should be. They did not do this and my contractor, after taking the outside siding off, found the PVC pipe that was attached to the drain just hanging in the wall. This was what was causing my leak and what caused 4 years of frustration! The owner of Marks, came out and admitted that this should never have happened and agreed to pay for the contractor that had found the problem. That was over 2 months ago and I have heard nothing more from them even after sending a follow-up letter. If you're looking for an honest dependable company , I would keep looking!

I called Marks to get my air conditioning repaired. the capacitor was out and a technician came out and said he had changed it out. He came in and turned on the system and left. I had to go run errands and returned home a couple of hours later to a hot house. I tried to call their after hours number and no one answers. I went out and looked at the air conditioner to see if the capacitor had maybe blown again and found the old capacitor sitting on the outside system and there was no new capacitor in the place where it goes. Someone from Marks needs to contact me immediately. I was charged for the service charge and a new capacitor but there is no capacitor there. They still do not answer theiir phone...so much for 24 hour service
