I had intermittent electrical service throughout the house. Brown electric fixed it all AND took the time to explain what was happening. Still, he was in and out in a matter of minutes. Very professional and kind. I would highly recommend them. I use no one else.

Justin, from Brown Service Co. removed and replaced our outside A/C unit. The new one is much more energy efficient and a lot quieter that the 16 year old one. I highly recommend Brown Service Co to everyone.

KUDOS to “Team Brown” for raising the bar to platinum standards for exemplary HVAC service!

After discovering the AC compressor had stopped working Friday evening, my e-mail request to remedy the problem was promptly answered by Kevin who called Saturday morning before business hours. As a longtime customer, practical tips were offered to not only soothe uneasy feelings, but help troubleshoot the issue which was confirmed by Anthony approximately one hour later. The float switch installed by Justin during the spring maintenance check detected blockage in the drain line. To prevent an overflow in the attic and costly damage to the ceiling below, the outside unit received the signal as designed and automatically shut down. That being the case, corrective action was taken quickly to enjoy cool surroundings in this triple digit heat.

Again, thanks so much for always being there to provide customers top quality service in a highly professional/friendly manner. See you in the fall for my system’s next maintenance check! Darlene Myatt

A coworker referred me to these guys when I couldn't get parts without being a certified dealer for a specific brand. I called them up, they got the motor I needed within an hour and had a fair price. Very friendly staff when I picked it up the same morning. I'll use them again if the need arises.

Executive Summary: I was not present, but I was told by my SO that Randy, the electrician, did not seem like a hard worker, and that he smoked a lot. Over the phone, he sounded alright. When he showed up, he was easy to get along with and actually pretty sharp. He worked hard, got the job done, and we passed inspection that same day. Between that and the price, I'm pretty dang happy. It's an older house, and it has some electrical needs - I know who I will be calling next time!

Background: A tree branch fell on the power line running from the community service pole to my house, pulling the meter box apart a bit and pulling the riser and weatherhead from the wall and roof. I could not get any electrician on site at the time, so I called the electrical delivery provider to come temporarily disconnect service. The service tech showed up, and I had actually worked with him before at my day job. He was very amicable, but when I suggested that I may fix the limited damage myself, he said there was no way he could reconnect it that way, as an electrician would be necessary to pull a permit and get an inspection, the passing result of which is required for reconnection. So my quest for an electrician began in earnest when he left.

Initial Impression: I called many places on a Sunday during a holiday weekend, and only one company answered the phone. Brown was not it. And the company that did answer the phone would not come out until the holiday weekend was over, so it's not like I got massively shorted. I called Brown mid-morning Tuesday, when my insurance company said I needed a second quote, and they came out for an estimate late that same day. I was not home, but my SO was, and she said the guy smoked a lot and worked a little. I did talk to him over the phone

Contracting: Both electricians that came out that day said that I needed not only some repair work from storm damage, but significant work to bring some obvious items up to code. Brown was about 30% cheaper than Milestone, so although the Milestone guy, who I did meet myself, seemed very nice and polite, I decided it wasn't worth it to me to spend 30% more - notably, that's 30% that insurance would not be covering. The insurance adjuster also got them to reuse more of the existing parts and wires, which knocked the price down quite a bit. The adjuster also decided not to pursue any of the large code items; only a few small items, such as grounding. So now only 1/3 of Brown's original estimate, I was well under my deductible, I didn't think the inspector would give us half a chance, and we were probably wasting time - time where I was without power and air conditioning!

Work: He got right to work, let me watch, and I didn't pester, but did ask questions now and then just for my own edification. I also gave him a hand a few times when he looked like he could use the help. He worked pretty hard and pretty consistently. The price was fair for the work done, for sure, and the work done looked pretty good to my untrained by fairly electrically experienced eyes.

Inspection: The company succeeded in getting the city inspector out in a hurry, and it turns out that the master electrician who pulled the permit is [distantly] related to the inspector. The inspector was friendly and brief in his duties, and did call the master electrician before leaving the property to chat. Not a bad thing to be some distant relative. We passed. Good!

Reconnection with Delivery Provider: I was told by the power delivery company that they could not guarantee same day reconnection at the hour I called. They had a few hundred requests at any given time, thanks to the recent storm. They said maybe by nightfall, otherwise in the morning. They also said that they would not give me any notice; their guy would just show up when it was our turn to be served. The delivery provider's tech showed up within just a couple hours, much to my surprise. I tried to offer him soda or other -legal- refreshment for a man on the job, but he declined.

A friend recommended Brown two years back and I’m so glad he did. I’ve used the annual maintenance plan and the technician Jack has kept the systems in tip-top shape.

Kuddos to Jack, the service technician who came out in Dec. to do our Fall/Winter maintenance. He smelled/heard/found a gas line that had been nicked the week before when we had a new roof put on. He duck taped the leak, stayed with me while I called our plumber and even spoke to the plumber to give an accurate description of what it looked like! This situation could have had a horrible outcome but thanks to Jack and his awareness, all turned out well.

Brown Service is always prompt and reliable. Beau did a fine job of my fall maintenance. They have great service contracts.

My air went out yesterday after 5:00 pm. I left a message, so they called me this morning before they opened. Anthony was here by 8:30 and had it fixed by 10:00 am.
Thanks for professional and quick service!
I will always call Brown

The system at our house failed one day and they came out the same day. Diego diagnosed the problem and fixed it with a new part on the spot! He even moved the drain hose back to the tree where we like it when he was finished. Top notch!
