I have used A-1 Tops Services for air conditioning and heating maintenance/repair for each one of my houses since 2004. It is nice to have a business that operates with honesty and integrity. This is sometimes hard to come by these days. A-1 Tops Services tries to diagnose the problem and then recommends the solution to fix it. No overselling or unnecessary repairs have ever been recommended. You can tell they are very knowledgeable and passionate about what they are doing! I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing A/C and/or heating repairs or maintenance.

I had a large air-conditioning company come out when I had a control board issue which stopped my dampers from working on the half story upstairs. Instead of recommending me replace the circuit board which they apparently didn't know how to do, they recommended that I remove the dampers and let the entire system run all the time. Well consequently in the summer time the upstairs never cooled down when the unit shut off for the bottom floor. This went on for a few year and I finally called Greg out to look at my system. Greg was the first tech that ever ran a pressure test on my system and when he did the pressures were super low due to poorly installed duct work and over sized returns installed by the home builder. Greg gave me a quote to repair these items including rezoning my system and when the work was completed my system has never run so well even when the home was new.

I’ve been using A-1Tops; Gregg Berens for right at 17 years now. I used him the first year in my home as I was covered by a first year home insurance protection company. It was just by fate. They did a great job, so after the warranty expired, I called them again the next time. A-1Tops gained my trust over the years by making small repairs to my older HVAC systems instead of just wanting to replace my units; a rarity these days. When I wanted to replace my downstairs unit with a High Effecient unit, he did that too. Gave me a great price with top notch work. This is a guy I trust to give me honest hard work. I am on his annual maintenance program and I am confident it is a direct reason my units have lasted so long.

Gregg and his workers came out today to install an A/C & Heating System. They did a great job and were done quicker than I thought it would be. I saw pictures of how it looked after the job was done and it was fantastic. I would highly recommend them if you want a new A/C and Heating Unit.

Gregg maintained the A/C system on my old house for many years. It finally bit the dust (he did all he could short of replacing it). His install of the new system was done quickly - just in time for summer! Highly recommend for maintenance and new systems.

The upstairs air conditioning stopped working. Gregg came and found that the outside condenser unit had frozen up. After the unit defrosted, he inspected it and found a leak in the unit. Since the leak could not be repaired, he installed a new unit. He also unclogged the drain hose. Gregg was prompt, efficient, and professional in the service he provided.
