Our HVAC unit stopped cooling overnight recently and the indoor air temperature was 88 degrees by morning. I called Air Temp and they sent Ashlee a few hours later. He thoroughly checked the unit, cleaned it and replaced a part. His work was professional, courteous and the price was fair. This is the second time I have used Air Temp and am very pleased with their service.
Ashlee did another great job on our spring 2022 clean-up! we would never use any other company. AirTemp is a locally owned family business and all the employees are great at their job.
We had issues with our HVAC systems at our new construction home. (No fault of the company, the problem was the system). We reached out to Donnie and Ashlee, and they came out to fix the issue right away. We were so impressed with their services that we purchased some additional services (maintenance package, wifi thermostat, and an Accu clean machine) with the company. We had ongoing problems with our HVAC unit and had tried another company which refused to work with a home warranty company. Ashlee from AirTemp came out and diligently tested each floor of our zoned HVAC system (4 floor townhouse) to figure out exactly what the problem was, got on the phone with the warranty company, and tried to help us get the repair covered. Ashlee explained everything to me clearly and multiple times (lol) to make sure I understood, and charged us a fair price for the labor and materials. He also gave me advice on how to address a potential future problem in a less expensive way. Highly recommend! Ask for Ashlee!
On August 28, 2022 I filed a claim for an air conditioner not cooling with Choice Home Warranty. I received an email that Air Temp has been dispatched and will be there on Tuesday August 30th between 3pm and 7pm. So on Tuesday around 4pm I called Air Temp to make sure they were coming. The lady that answered the phone said they had no knowledge of it and after a few minutes on hold she came back and said the technician would be there tomorrow between 9am and 12pm. After they did not show, I called around 12pm and again the lady put me on hold and said he would be there in an hour. Finally close to 3pm he shows up. After diagnosing the problem he said a new unit would be the way to go as this unit is very old, so I explained to the technician to submit the diagnosis to Choice Home Warranty and they will make a decision in less than ten minutes. Unfortunately he did not know how to do that so he sent it to the office to do it. I called Choice Home Warranty on Thursday Sept,1 several times. They kept telling me that they did not receive the diagnosis yet, so I called Air Temp several times and they claimed that they submitted the diagnosis.Same thing on Friday. I could not get anywhere with either company. Today 9/6/2022 I Called Air Temp at 10:11am. They claimed that the diagnosis was submitted on Friday 9/2/2022 and they are waiting for approval, so I called Choice Home Warranty at 10:21am and they claimed they did not receive it and refused to transfer me to supervisor. After 30 minutes on hold she came back on the phone and claimed that she spoke to the technician and he will submit the diagnoses shortly. It's 108 degrees in my kid's room. With the time I wasted on the phone between both companies, I could’ve worked at McDonalds and made enough money to pay for the new unit. This has been a horrible experience and a total waste of my time. I have spent hours on the phone and still have no resolution and no air. I will make sure to post on any social media about this experience. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and department of consumer affairs and any other agencies that I can find.
