Krantz Kooling and Heating

When we got up this morning we realized that our air conditioning unit had went out. My wife and I called several different heating and air companies and each one said that they could make it today but it would be between 10 a.m.- 6p.m. for one company and the two other companies gave me a 10 hour time frame. Because of this, I decided to try Krantz Heating and Air because of all the good things I've heard about them on the neighborhood app.

Krantz heating and Air gave me a 4 1/2hour window to be here by 1:30 p.m. Kenny and Mike showed up about 10min. early and were extremely professional. They checked the unit in the attick first, went outside to check the compressor, came back inside 40min. later and said they were done. I noticed that it had gotten cooler already. Kenny told me what I need for the future and described in detail the problem.

Krantz was very affordable! I would advise anyone who has problems with there heating and air system to call Krantz because they get the job done. By the way there wasn't a blade of grass brought in my house because Kenny and Mike made sure to put on their foot booties at the door.

This is an update of my earlier review, The purpose of this visit was twofold:
1) diagnose/repair the upstairs A/C which had been installed 11 months earlier, but wasn’t cooling.
2) perform routine maintenance on both upstairs and downstairs units.

Result:
1) the diagnosis for the upstairs unit was an unspecified malfunction of the control board in the outside unit. This requires a replacement control board.
Status: the repair has been completed. Initially, it wasn’t clear when the repair might be completed. I was pretty much in the dark. Justin Krantz called and explained there was a supply chain issue with getting the replacement control board. Since I’d been waiting for so long, he expedited my case by purchasing a duplicate model and using parts from it to repair my unit. The new parts on order for me would then go into this unit.
It turned out that the underlying problem was a stepper motor in the inside unit. It took a lot of work and communication between the Krantz techs and factory experts to arrive at this solution. I am very impressed by their perseverance and diligence!

2) routine maintenance completed successfully.

At this point the communication/repair aspect rates five stars and the maintenance rates five stars. If it were possible to give mores stars, I would!

Great company, always on time and professionals. Antonio and Ian professionalism is second to none. They took the time to explain everything they did to the system and what I need to do to prevent issues.

Kenny Bastian is by far one of the best heating and cooling inspectors in Columbia, SC! You will not be disappointed using this company.

The tech immediately pinpointed the problem within minutes and even with the supply issues and it being 4 pm on a Thursday. The technician was able to locate the part and install it the next day.

Fellow was courteous, friendly and professional! I’ve used this company for about fifteen years and have never been anything but pleased with work they have done for us. I highly recommend them!!

Krantz Kooling was great to work with. I used them to fix my AC that stopped working in the middle of the Columbia summer. I called several times in the same day to ensure I was doing everything that my home warranty company needed. And they were incredibly helpful each time. I was extremely pleased with the technician, Kenny. He was very knowledgeable, was kind, answered every question that I had, and got my AC running again very quickly.

This was my second time using Krantz. My first call was last August. A/C had stopped working. The repair was done quickly and at a very reasonable cost. The technician also provided some maintenance service to the system at no additional charge. My second visit was for spring maintenance. Done quickly and efficiently and at a reasonable cost. Highly recommend Krantz. Their technicians take the time to explain what they’re doing as are happy to answer questions.
