Tom came over to look at our gas fireplace and furnace. He was friendly, very knowledgeable and offered excellent customer service. I would highly recommend this company.
Steve installed a Trane furnace and heat pump in August, 2022. He’s responded promptly to questions and concerns we have had. He is very knowledgeable. We highly recommend Statz Mechanical for your heating and AC needs!
Water heater went out at 3am called in the morning come that day and install the new one the next, outstanding customer service and Tech’s thanks!!!

Air conditioning unit died. Called for help and even though they were overbooked and busy they still were trying to figure out how to fit me in SAME DAY!! Informed them I can wait until tomorrow morning, the put me first on their list. Huge storm thru the night, lots of roads closed. I wasn't sure they could come. Got a call a little after 9 with APOLOGIES RIGHT AWAY for missing appointment time. Then said he would be over shortly if this is ok. Once he arrived very professional and had AC up and running in 30 minutes!! Definitely my business of choice!! Thanks!!
My husband have found Statz Mechanical knowledgable in what they do. They fixed the problem with our April Air that Muchow had duct taped , because they over cut the hole to insert it into our furnace. The owner even came to look at it when we thought there was a problem, butr everything turned out fine. We also have used them again to do a check up on our Air Conditioner and Furnace, and still find them to be professional and honest. I was sorry to learn the Technican Scott was no longer with them thouygh.
Statz is respectful, honest and dependable. I called a number of furnace/air conditioner services listed in the phone book. I selected Statz. They were knowledgeable, did not pressure me and they offered a very competitive price. The installation was smooth, clean and efficient. It has been three years now and I am extremely pleased with my choice. My house heats and cools nicely and my bills are much lower. Statz is always there if I have a question. Now I am helping a friend get air conditioning and I am coming back to Statz for advice and service.
RUDE and OVERPRICED! I called Statz to look at and give me a quote on a new blower motor for my furnace. I told them that the motor gets hot and hums and the fan doesn't spin, (locked up). I wanted a price for a new blower motor (inducer motor) and that I would install it. The repairman that looked at the furnace called me and told me the blower motor was bad and he would get me the price for a new one. The repairman called me back the next day and left me a message and said the part would be $550 plus shipping. I went on Amazon and found the replacement part for $140 shipped to my house. About a week later I received a bill for 2 hours of labor. I called to ask about a bill I got from them and Jodi the owner was the rudest person I have ever dealt with. She told me I should do business local and I thought Rock Springs was local for Reedsburg. She also told me since I knew what the problem was with the furnace that I should take up a new profession and fix it myself. She told me the bill was correct and hung up on me. I thought business owners would not be so rude. When I asked to speak to the boss or owner, she said I am the Boss, and hung up on me. If you need furnace work in the Reedsburg area call MUCHOW HEATING. I normally use Muchow, but I thought I would give Statz a try. NEVER AGAIN!
