We just moved into town and Olsen was recommended to us by the former home owner. Our AC unit has been unhooked for city maintenance. I called and the hook up was scheduled right away. We contacted Olson Heating & Cooling to replace our existing furnace and air conditioner. Stan Olson came out to our house and personally inspected and assessed our existing set up, made recommendations for replacement, then gave us an estimate and schedule. We went ahead with the suggestions and were EXTREMELY pleased with the customer service, the technical installation, and the quality of the products - furnace, air conditioner, and new thermostat. Thank you all at Olson's for your very personal customer service. We intend for you to provide annual service and support going forward. We are very happy customers.

We purchased a house that had the heating installed by Olson a few months prior to our move-in date. It was September when we moved in so we didn't need the heating right away. When it came time to turn it on we found that it didn't work, so we called Olson. They said that they wouldn't charge us to come and fix it since they did the installation so recently. We should have got that in writing because four months later we got a bill for over $200 for the work they did (which took less than an hour). We certainly will not be going back to them for future service.
I brought in Olson Heating to provide a second opinion on what was wrong with my year-old Carrier furnace installed by Harker. Olson ended up charging me a total of $380 to tell me that the venting pipe should have been 2.5" instead of 2". They provided the ammunition I needed in order to get Harker to correct the problem, but Olson performed no actual work on the furnace and thus I found the total charge a bit excessive. When I talked about this with Stan, he gave me the run around. Claimed he would "check the GPS for the actual time spent there". He never followed through. I ended up paying the bills and moving on. Summary: yes, they are more competent than Harker. However I wasn't happy with the final charges nor the communication about the charges.
We had a Carrier Central Air system installed in our farm house and a couple of emergency service calls. Stan and his service people were timely in our situations, straight forward, and easy to work with. I have recommended them to others.
