Very high quality system (Mitsubishi hyper heat) installed quickly, for lower price than competitors using lower quality systems. Highly recommend.
I highly recommend Narrows Heating and Air Conditioning. They installed my first hybrid heat system, and I went with them again. They do both commercial and residential work. Chris took his time explaining the pros and cons. I felt confident going with the xv19 side discharge heat pump and the xv95 furnace. Chris scaled up another half ton on the heat pump to cope with 100+ degree heat. Both units are variable speed and extraordinarily quiet…. So quiet my neighbors are buying one too. They no longer hear my heat pump. The new control module can be controlled from the phone. They showed up at 8am, finished at 4 pm. They weren’t satisfied with something on the first heat pump, so they sent it back to the warehouse and brought another new unit for install……. My house is now comfortable all the time. Extremely satisfied. Got exactly what I wanted: -No pressure bid -info to select the best units for my needs -commercial quality installation -equipment closely inspected prior to installation -top shelf-made in USA equipment 🇺🇸 -commercial installers and techs. -Trane parts are readily available, unlike other brands. With Narrows you get more than for what you pay.
We hired Chris and Narrows Heating to replace an old oil furnace with a 4-ton central heat pump system for our 3,150 sq ft house originally built in 1959. We had 3 companies out to bid on the project, all highly rated. We were immediately impressed by the professionalism of Chris and his thoughtful problem-solving related to our particular HVAC needs. The bid from Narrows was not the lowest, but Chris' lack of sales pressure and detail-oriented answers to our questions won us over. The installation itself was performed over 2 days by an extremely amiable and competent crew who worked calmly and neatly, dealing expertly with a pretty crowded basement installation space criss-crossed by the house's plumbing and electrical wiring. The city permitting and inspections were handled smoothly by Narrows and their electrical subcontractor, and the inspectors arrived a couple of days after installation was complete and quickly signed off on the work. We look forward to having AC for the first time on hotter days, and not dealing with the smelly, dirty polluting oil furnace during the winter months. I would highly recommend Narrows based on our experience.
Chris did a good job explaining options for a new heating/cooling pump. They took care of paperwork for the TPU incentives program. Installation took a day (small house). The office took care of arranging the mechanical and electrical inspections. All in all a smooth experience.
Heat pump installation plus duct modifications. Chris gave very helpful options and advice on selecting our system, and then with Ash also on a duct realignment. We really appreciated Danny and Kaden's excellent installation and customer relations skills. It felt like we really had the "A+ Team". Danny's experience and leadership, what a skilled duo. Everything done well. Courteously welcomed questions. Even added a little bonus trim. Fine orientation at the end. Electrician Bill was satisfactory-plus also.
Chris and his crew did a great job. We had been searching for months for a company to repair or replace our 52 year old furnace. This just happened to be in the middle of winter with no heat. We also wanted to install an HVAC system to deal with the coming heat of summer. We had several quotes that were outrageous and offensive. Even the orange big box store’ s contractor was awful. Chris came in thousands of dollars cheaper with better equipment. The instal was quick, professional, and clean. Chris did not take advantage of us when we needed heat. Thank you Chris.

I selected Narrows because of the reasonable proposed costs, specialization in Trane products, and referral from my family based on their experience with Narrows. I’m very pleased with how my HVAC system turned out and I can immediately feel the benefits of the revitalization. The installation team was outstanding - on time, very professional, answered all my questions, clearly committed to the project, provided an overview of the work, and literally left the job site BETTER than when they arrived. The support staff at the front office was responsive and very detailed oriented, as well. Overall, Narrows provides good quality workmanship, high value with Trane products, and professional on-time services.
They did a great job taking out the old oil furnace and replacing it with a electric furnace and heat pump, and air filtration system. We are very happy with the work did. I’ll be using them for system maintenance.
We had the pleasure of working with Chris for our heat pump decision and installation. He was incredibly knowledgeable and informative about what would be best for us and our 1910 home. The entire process was made quick and easy with his expertise, including our TPU loan processing, making for a seamless experience. The installation team was friendly, efficient, and kind, answering all our curiosities, and very mindful of our curious dog. Narrows removed an existing ducted gas furnace and replaced it with an electric heating and cooling heat pump system. I chose them because of price and the proposed Mitsubishi system. Plus, several years ago at a different home, they installed a ductless system. Again, I was very pleased with price, professionalism, and quality. They show up when scheduled and complete the job on time.

I had a split system heat pump installed in my home. The entire process was really well done. The estimate was simple, straightforward, and less than multiple other contractors in the area. The equipment installed was top of the line and sized properly. The installation was quick, tidy, and looks good. They also handled the permitting, inspections, and power company discount. I would recommend Narrows for any Heating and Air Conditioning project.

From the initial meeting with owner Chris Calhoun to the installation Narrows Heating was heads above the other 2 companies. Chris sold himself and his company not the product and won us over before even meeting with his competitors. On top of this, his pricing was also the best so he left no doubt on who we were going with. His capable staff meticulously installed a new heat pump, air handler and thermostat. Trane products are the best!
Narrows installed a ducted heat pump system for us and we loved working with them. They honored a quote from a few months prior while we sorted other projects. They scheduled the work promptly and completed the job in the allotted time. The team was friendly and respectful in our home and they went above beyond to remove an additional natural gas fireplace and install a dryer vent for us that they noticed was missing while they were in the crawl space. Can't go wrong.
Narrows did a replacement of our old, inefficient heating system with a new high efficiency heat pump system. They resized our undersized returns, and did a superb installation. The work was very clean and the new system is performing really well. Would definitely use them again for any future HVAC work.
We contacted Narrows Heating & Air Conditioning after receiving a recommendation from an acquaintance. This was a very smart move. Our house had several challenges with the HVAC system, among them being, an oil furnace in the crawl space with no A/C and insufficient air return for the size of our home. The team from Narrows Heating were able to upgrade the air return path, remove the old oil furnace and leave us with a fantastically quiet Trane Heat Pump. The upgrade included a new Air Handler, Heat Strip, CleanEffect air filter and ComfortLink Thermostat. Also, the job required some electrical upgrades. All this work was completed in three and a half days. Let me say again, this was all under the house in a 3 1/2 foot (106cm) crawl space. Our home is now ready for year around comfort and we can confidently recommend this company for all your heating and air-conditioning needs.
