Counter help was timely, courteous and most importantly took care of my order quickly and competently.
I shopped here a lot years ago and liked the service and the in store stock. Went in to get a unique part today and although just a few people were in line, an additional person was called for. Impressed with the service and the help finding the part I needed.
They say "For the one's that get it done" Advertising seems a pseudo science that generates it's own wake when executed well. Your gonna need a bigger boat as they say. These folks are magicians at acquisition. Tradesman appreciate experts understanding every nuance of individual tasks, look if your a journeyman you know...right? Price isn't even a factor if a hospital loses water or power...or a plane crashes. Grainger can be trusted to execute at a very high level. That's sounds great, right? I am no paid sponsor...nope just a satisfied customer. Some have massive levels of responsibility, unimaginable mechanical that needs to stay online.....that's not an ask, ya know. Sometimes the behind the scene are extraordinary and exquisitely complex. We both know you need folks that understanding what you need...right? Waste less time, get more done. Go see Grainger indeed.
Amazing employees, excellent stock, terrible website; product specs are often either improperly logged or just not listed at all. In my case, I was looking for a left-handed or reversible lever-style exit trim device for our fire door, but couldn't filter down the options on the site because most didnt say if they were left or right handed, few said if they were fire rated, nearly all didnt have their dimensions listed, and some didnt even specify if they were a lever or a handle, making it so I couldn't filter my search even by that much.
Grainger closes at 4:30. That's lame. Every other supply house here closes at 5:00. Plus they're expensive. So expensive they should be open 24/7.

Awesome experience with Grainger yesterday. I had a stage light that needed a new fuse but had no idea on what type of fuse it needed. The old fuse was not in the unit so I had nothing to reference. No model number, no manual, nothing! The staff at Grainger jumped all over it and were able to find the right fuse. They even let me plug it in and test it out. The motor worked but there was no light, so they helped me open it up an lo and behold there wasn’t a bulb!! Then the employee helped me search for a new bulb, trying out several options. Unfortunately we weren’t able to find the right bulb, but I did find one at a different store and the unit works perfectly! I’m sure that this was an extremely small job for them to handle, but their level of customer service was excellent!! I have no doubt that they would provide that same level of attention to much bigger projects.
Purchased and paid for product that showed in store inventory, drove 50 miles r/t to pick up the tool, it wasn’t there. They said it would be there next day (today). Called ahead before I left to make sure it was there, they confirmed it was, drove another 50 miles r/t to pick up. Nada. It wasn’t there after they confirmed it was. Told me to come back tomorrow. Should have ordered on Amazon.
Went in here today to find a specific line of gloves. Grainger did not carry this particular glove but they found me an equivalent glove that suited my needs. The young lady that helped me was very efficient and helpful. Based on customer service alone I will continue to use the store in the future.
Didn't have the part in inventory, but gave me part number for other options.
