James performed a timely diagnostic and repair of my HVAC furnace. Very efficient and reasonably priced repair. He did a great job of describing what the issue was, and what needed to be replaced.
They were very responsive to my calls, emails and in person questions. The were also ontime, courteous and efficient. I will be using them again in the future.
I needed someone to repair my propane boiler (it heats the house and hot water). I called the Mayer Heating and Air Conditioning Friday before Christmas and Mr. Mayer set me up for the Monday after Christmas. Well stores were still closed so Mr. Mayer called to let me know. He even offered to lend me some heaters. He came by first thing Tuesday morning and work on the boiler. Thank you James Mayer for the work you did!!
Mayer Heating was able to fix an issue that 3 other contractor were not able to take care of. Awesome work!
Had a great experience! We were having issues with our heat and the house was between 55 and 60 degrees most nights. Mayer heating and cooling came out quickly to diagnose the issue. Our brand new hvac was installed incorrectly so he had to basically reinstall it. They got the work done quickly and everything is doing great! Great company to work with!

Best HVAC company in Richmond. Eddie and his team are responsive pros, and a top quality team. They serviced my older HVAC unit prior to it breaking down and needing a new HVAC unit. Mayer supplied me a with great consultation and installation for the new unit and then we used them again for a mini split unit. The installation job is so clean it is ridiculous. I cannot express how comforting it is dealing with someone you trust and know will guide you in making the proper decisions for heating and air as I am just a homeowner needing guidance and they provided just that. Can recommend this group to anyone that wants a sure fire job done right the first time.
When my AC went out mid-summer, James came the same day and fixed it promptly. I decided to replace the whole thing this fall since it was getting old, and he and his crew did the job in about 5 hours for a reseaonable price. Very courteous and professional. I highly recommend this company!

We had to have a new complete Heat/AC pump system installed and Mayer Heating and Air did a fantastic job! They are quick, professional, very nice and the price was excellent. He definitely saved us this summer! Great work quality!

The guys did a good diagnostic, found the bad board in the HVAC and got it replaced in only a couple days. Really good work. Remember to text them back with a confirmation of the appointment or they won't assume you still need the work. Busy guys just a small extra step to do, good work makes it all worth it. 10/10 would recommend.
James is AWESOME! And really that is an understatement. Mayer Heating & Air was assigned to my residence for a home warranty service call. I have had some not so great experiences with some of the companies but Mayer is a different story. Spoke with James to schedule and to discuss the issue which was super beneficial. James came out at the scheduled appointment time and reviewed my issue. James is the only person/company to come out and say that my install was not right and how it should be fixed and accept the task to resolve the issue. James took the time to work with the home warranty company, explain the situation and have it all covered. The "resolution crew" from Mayer HVAC came back out and was on time and polite. They were able to resolve my issue and now my HVAC does not run ALL DAY, is able to cycle/keep up and I can actually turn it lower now which was not possible previously. Thanks again to Mayer Heating & Air Conditioning for taking the time to make things right!
