We have used this business in the past so we called them again to check out one of our air conditioning units. Ended up being nothing wrong with it. Several weeks later I received a bill for what I consider to be excessive especially when nothing was wrong. I call to inquire and give me opinion. The lady explained that we lived out of their area and that was the standard amount for the service call. She was very nice and respectful despite the fact that I was clearly annoyed. I would like to say the very next day this same lady called me back and told me that she had spoken with her manager and they were reducing the fee. WHAT? Wow!! I didn't know what to say. We did not ask for reduction in the fee and definitely didn't expect it. Thank John Wright and staff. Thank you to the very kind and patient lady on the phone who advocated on behalf of me and my family. You are awesome. We will use you in the future and we will refer to others.
I was referred through the warranty for fixing the brand new water heater, Customer service is very poor, They didn’t do anything to fix the issue, but they charged $180 right away, Their first priority is not service quality, just overcharge, Unprofessional!!!

They completely re-did both systems in my house including the duct work as well as installed a tankless hot water heater. They arrived around 9am every day and worked until around 4, when I would come home from work, I could hardly tell anyone had been in my house. They cleaned up after themselves and did fantastic work. They actually calculated the load for each duct-line that they ran. I live in a 1920 house with no insulation, my power bills went from 4-500 a month to around $200 a month in the PEAK of the summer. If you need a system replacement this is definitely the company to call!
Fair, dependable, well trained and there for me when we have an urgent plumbing and heating problem- what more could you ask for? OH, and did I mention that they understand and service one pipe steam radiator systems? We originally called several other companies to quote on our project. Most did not service steam radiator systems, two companies said they did and wasted our time to come for an estimate, then never followed through with a quote. Even in this busy cold snap, Vince at John Y Wright Company always follows through and provides guality service. He has a respectful, friendly and capable staff of technicians that effeciently get our old building plumbing and heating jobs done for a fair price. I highly recommend them!
They upgraded my oil heat system to a gas combi unit on the wall. Successfully hauled away the old system and installed the new system. Very professional and friendly. Would absolutely use them again.

I was referred through the warranty company for JYW to repair or replace my gas water heater. I was pleased at first because JYW company sent a tech the same day to look at my water heater. I was told it would cost me $170 upfront...the tech was professional, and explain the situation in getting that particular type of water heater and someone would get back to me with a quote for replacement. I took into consideration it was the weekend and by that Monday someone would call and let me know what was going on. It took me contacting the company four different times for two days after the fact to even get a quote because no one got back to me. Then I was told it still wasnt complete the last time I called and for me to give my email again and one would be sent once it was complete. By this time I was frustrated with the waiting process because it was going on day three. So I went and paid another company to come out and quote me to install a new water heater.....I am very unhappy with JYW's timeliness in getting back to me. It shouldnt take the customer constantly calling to get an update on if JYW could help me or not.
We are a small independent hotel in Cape Charles on the Eastern Shore. We had an emergency hot water heater repair on a Friday afternoon. The woman who answered the phone was very professional and could sense we were desperate to get repairs done. She sent a tech over right away and he also was very professional and fixed our problem within 30 minutes! Thank You John Y Wright Co!!! Disaster averted!! Will most certainly call them again should we need any services they provide!!
I had my boiler serviced by them and the tech's knowledge of the system was fantastic. The problem I encountered was when I asked for a quote for a replacement, I never heard back.
