Just saw this company driving horribly. Two lane turn, not maintaining their lane and on the phone. Then he finally put down the phone and started speeding. If you drive a mobile billboard you might want to drive like you have some sense. Edit: I never said I used your service. Judging from your terrible driving and unprofessional response you are a company to avoid. Stay off your phone when driving, it is illegal, just like your two lane turn and excessive speed was.

I highly recommend Standard Air. Rich is a hands on business owner. He went above and beyond to help my family when we needed it most. Locally owned and operated, that means something to me.
Choosing a good HVAC installer is not easy among the hundreds on the market , but Standard Air was the winner with its five stars rating..Rich is just outstanding and very professional , If I could , I will give him ten stars. The installation of the furnace and AC is top notch .After the installation , Rich told me he will register the new the equipments for the warranty and to check my email which he did. Thank You Rich for a great job
Rich is amazing. Period. I reached out to him after my terrible experience with Choice Home Warranty (not their technicians, just the service) and he listened to my confusing and frustrating story that left me without heat in my home for three weeks in November prior to his arrival into my mess of a situation. He walked me through his service call on-site. Showed me the issues. Explained how the issue likely happened. Provided several solutions - short term and long term. Discussed various HVAC brands, sizes for my home, benefits, warranty options, install dates….. etc. He is very transparent with his process. Stayed in communication up until the day he received the unit and arrived to install it. He arrived with his helper Darrius who was equally checked in to my issue and thorough to explain what he was going to work on. In short, this little paragraph does not describe just how satisfied I am with Rich and Darrius. I will be reaching back out for water heater replacement and gas log installation for sure. And should Rich take on any other services with his company, I will call him for that too! Absolutely the best. Hands down. Period.
Rich did a great job with both the furnace maintenance and customer service. He is an honest, competent technician, very reasonably priced, and made no effort to sell me on additional services or goods. I plan to do business with him again, and would absolutely recommend him for any type of HVAC or related services.
Rich is very knowledgeable about the HVAC units installed in the homes this area (Dumfries) and gave me good service when I called for a check-up and maintenance. He didn’t try to sell me anything I didn’t need. However, the next day when my of my units failed (no fault of his own) he came by immediately and assessed the situation and was able to order just what I needed with no extras added. I trust Rich and will be using Standard Air as long as we live here.
Rich Barnes with StandardAir is well known and highly recommended in the Montclair community. We recently had to have both the indoor and outdoor units replaced and they did a phenomenal job! 10 out of 10 we recommend Rich and his team!! Thanks again!! 😁
Rich did a great job, listened, had sound advice and is all around a great guy to deal with. He installed a new heat pump for me quickly. I really like how it works and his advice was spot on both in the results and with research that I had done before talking with him. I highly recommend Standard Air.

Rich was absolutely awesome, came out very quick and was super responsive. He figured out what multiple other places had not been able to in such a short amount of time and got everything fixed and working. Very knowledgeable and helpful, couldn't recommend anyone more than Standard Air.
Contacted Standard Air to request service for an 25+ years-old gas water heater. Rich Barnes identified the need for a new water heater and not only managed to secure a replacement the same day (was end of the work day), but also was able to install first thing the next morning. Rich was timely, professional, personable, and provided detailed explanations of the new install as well as the problems with the original water heater condition. Best of all, the price was very affordable for the new heater and service. Would highly recommend and I will definitely call again for any other HVAC or plumbing needs in the future.
Rich is the best. He's serviced our HVAC and now he's replaced it when it broke after 16 years. He is honest, fair priced, and has excellent knowledge of HVAC systems. I highly recommend.
called rich because everyone in my old neighborhood swears by his company. wasn’t sure he’d come out to my new place but figured it was worth a try. he responded immediately and came over like the next day. he is a true professional. he diagnosed the issues and clearly laid out my options. I decided to replace both my upstairs and downstairs units. from when i decided to do it to when the job was done was like 4 days total and 2 of those were the weekend. he replaced all wires and stuff coming from the house which not everyone does. install looks awesome and works awesome too. he’s my HVAC dude from now on for sure.
Rich was fantastic! He quickly found the problem with my 20 year old unit, and ordered the replacement parts. He also took the time to lay out multiple replacement options so we could start to budget for the new unit when that time comes.
