We have been using total comfort for 2 years. Each time we have an apt they never on time or forgot to put us on schedule. We are still waiting for a part for our heat pump since January!!! We went all winter on emergency heat. We called all the time to see where part was . Always told by Kelly was still on back order. Called last week was told part was never ordered! So they had to send another technician out to see what was wrong. Now we are told might need new unit so manager calls us schedules apt for today at 10 am with salesman when they didn't show we called and was told was for noon! They never do what they say and we are done with them. We even have a service contract with them but will go elsewhere now.

The quote given for 900 sqft house for central AC was 9k with already installed central duct work. After reading reviews, I'll be sure to tell anyone who listens to beware and proceed with caution. Big companies only care about bottom dollar. If you notice, all the CS issue responses are automated. Shows how much they care about "making things right".

In February of 2022 my gas hot water tank went out after having it for 30 years with no problems. I dealt with ARS ROOTER to replace my gas hot water tank only after the first year barely any hot water to shower. When I say “barely” it stays hot for less than a min then turns ice cold. I contacted them which they never showed up twice only tell me at the last min they don’t have any plumber on the weekend. Finally got someone to come out for a diagnosis and told me it’s was my gas valve that need replacing bought my part got installed and still doing the same thing.

My 85 yo father purchased a unit from Home Depot in Colonial Heights, VA approximately two years ago. ARS has visited many times over the two year period without being able to resolve the issue of his heat running constantly and high electric bills. Out of frustration, we called a Rheem technician who stated, within 15 minutes, that the unit is not large enough to carry the load of the house. We are truly saddened to learn that ARS would treat an elderly gentleman in this manner. PLEASE DO NOT employ this company. They will take your money for service / maintenance but will NOT provide necessary information or attempt to resolve the problem.

I suppose we should be happy we did not use this company. They had emailed a date and arrival span of time when they would arrive. My husband got up early, they didn’t show. We called and the person said they would call the worker and tell him to call us. Nobody called so we called the office again hours later and we had the same result= nothing. Not to worry, we went to Home Depot and got a different company and they were there the next day & right on time.

Made an emergency service appointment only to wait all day for no one to show. Spoke to 3 different representatives and was told I was on the schedule and to expect a call. Finally made my last call to ARS at 8pm to be told that no tehnicians were even working today.

Zero stars. Technician never checked filters on our mini-split unit. When our unit continued to have problems, we called another company to check out the unit. Tha0t company found the filters dirty. Problems solved!!! The ARS technician was incompetent. In addition, I have requested reimbursement, but the service manager will not return my calls.

Cancelled on their first two appointments. Showed up late the 3rd time. Left all kinds of parts laying around unlabeled. Did not even finish covering the lines up. The crew just left with no notice leaving the job looking sloppy like this. Chris the rep has not responded to my complaints after 5 days. I would not recommend.

Edgar came out to look at pretty significant vibration in the newly installed outdoor unit and determined it was a bent fan blade, replacement OEM blade arrived and installed in about a week, vibration gone, new Rheem 17 working great, very quiet, much quieter than my old Trane unit.

Technician was knowledgeable and prepared. The install crew was on point. Not sure if parts or logistics are the problem, but took 2.5 weeks to complete repair on a new system installed 4/22. With the correct parts and knowledge, technician completed repair professionally and quickly.

We had a nightmare experience hiring Ideal Comfort out of Amelia through Home Depot. Using ARS out of Richmond was HDs solution to our installation problems. So far ARS has come out 5 times to resolve issues on our new install. Each and every time they have been professional, excellent communication skills, honest, knowledgeable, and just truly have done a stand out job. Edgar and all of the technicians have been beyond helpful and have worked hard to not only resolve issues, but correct items before they become problems. My Husband and I are just truly grateful ARS has been willing to travel to our area to help get us straight. Our maintenance experience was wonderful and efficient except for the exorbitant expense . We are a elderly couple in our late late 70’s and are not supposed to be on ladders to do work or cleaning. However our Mitsubishi mini split / ductless hvac system needed a cleaning and maintenance. A service call is $109 so what could it cost? A $100 per unit or $100 per hour or a total of $500 ? 4 interior units and 1 exterior? All work was done in our kitchen with our brush and ladders we could lend. Well $2717 for a good cleaning. A good auto detail is a $100 to 500. My annual hvac service is $69-99 in Florida and includes cleaning.

I had ARS to install my aircondition and heating. Eric the manager has no for years since installed we have had problems withthe unit not cooling the house. I have been left wiith over a thousand dollar electric bill due to the unit running all day and half the night trying to coolthe house. The temp hets higher and higher with the unit still running. At the end of the day its 90 or more degrees in my home with my 81 year old mother and pets here. I have breathing problems and so do my family members I have called and called for them to replace it one time jus to fix it and we have got no results other than a high electric bill. This is not good business especially when the manager of the company dont stick to there word. We paid over 5,000. for this unit and still paying due to the unit notciilung running dayand night keeping the electric bill sky high. This is a company that do not care.

It became an unfortunate series of events over 6 weeks or more. My Mitsubishi unit was not turning on. Nothing. The technician said to replace motherboard @ $767.00. Paid that. Board arrived . Installed. Nothing. Now I need a new fan motor @ $1267.00. Agreed to pay that. Installed. Nothing. ARS reordered another board and motor. Nothing, and I paid $1264.00 for fan motor and I'm back where I started moths ago with nothing. Now they say I need a new compressor @ $3,000.00 or better yet, buy a new unit @ 9,000.00(less credit of $2,000.00) equaling $7,000.00!

If I can give them zero stars I would. Such an unprofessional company. They can careless that we set an appointment twice they never showed up. Homedepot uses them to have your AC checked out. Never would recommend.

ARS came out and quoted me a price to install a new heating and a/c system. They were very professional from start to finish. The returned to help with a thermostat issue. They suggested that we instal an air scrubber. We were glad that we did. I will recommend them to anyone that ask if we know of a reputable company to meet their heating and a/c needs.

I called for a quote. They sent someone out, the quote that I received was the highest quote from any company. They called me back 2 months later and said that they were running a special where they were sponsoring a charity, and asked if they could do the work now? I told them that they were the highest price quote that I had received so no thank you. They replied we price match! I said why would I let you price match someone that gave me a fair price to start with. They said something unprofessional and hung up the phone. I recommend anyone besides this company. BEWARE.
