Tyler was here for an early summer inspection/maintenance visit. He was friendly, professional, and highlighted that we were likely to need to replace a capacitor next year, so we could make sure to budget for that. He also noted that our water heater is getting very old (which it absolutely is) and discussed some different options for replacing it. Extremely worthwhile, as always we are happy with Frosty's!

I've never done business with this company. But a few days ago there was a driver on 95, left lane, going SB that was ALL over the road. They kept drifting on to the shoulder and into the lane next to them. At one point they swerved abruptly onto the shoulder going almost all the way across before sharply correcting. It was nerve-wracking to watch. I don't know if they were distracted or tired, but whatever the reason they should have pulled over.

Frosty's did a full replacement of our 30+ year old HVAC system, and it was a great experience overall. The owner, James, came over and walked us through the various offerings, including which units qualified for the latest tax credits. James was very responsive and patient with our questions, and his extensive experience working in South Arlington was a definite benefit. His team showed up on time when scheduled and did a great job replacing the old ductwork in our attic. We appreciated James' commitment to customer satisfaction - when we weren't satisfied with how our new, larger outdoor heat pump was placed on our patio, James suggested various alternatives and sent a team out to level the ground underneath and fix it to our liking without additional charge.

I've been using Frosty's for more than a decade. Their routine service call (winter and spring check up) was a little higher in price but worth every penny. They pay attention, listen, and do what they say. Best news - if you're on their regular maintenance schedule, you get priority service when the a/c goes out on a 102 degree day in August or a cold winter's night in February. I recommend them highly.

The technicians were prompt, and extremely courteous. During the routine maintenance of our furnace, they pointed out a broken piece that holds the filter in place, and gave me the option of ordering the piece and installing myself, which was less expensive than if they did it. They showed me where to order it and how to install it. As is always the case with Frosty's, I appreciated that they provided me options for best value.

Tyler went above and beyond to diagnose and repair the problem, which turned out to be three distinct problems. It took a lot of time and patience for him to work through each one, especially since he had to work with the zoned-heating system supplier's service team to be able to read the fault codes. He was thorough, explained each problem to me in detail and showed me what he was seeing, and figured out what was necessary (and saved me from paying for things that weren't). The price was eminently fair for the time and expertise he gave us, and the heat is now working great. I'll be requesting Tyler's help for any future hvac problems.

I reached out to Frosty’s for help with my A/C that was not staying on. They informed me of the service charge and then told me if there is more work, I’d be quoted and then have the chance to accept or decline the work. The tech came and looked at, went back to his truck and then came in and started working then he just off the cuff told me oh you’re up to $400 now. Very unprofessional. Also, the problem came back and I told them but they just wanted to send the same guy because that’s all they gave. I had to call someone else.

In addition to maintenance, I had gone through some water damage in the HVAC closet a couple of weeks ago, and he made sure to check all the components to ensure they hadn't suffered any problems due to that issue. He even gave me advice about a water detector I could buy for the room in order to be alerted to future issues.

As an 8 month pregnant person in July it was rough to say the least, but the owner got us scheduled as soon as possible during what I understand is the peak of their busy season! My Trane HVAC system from the 1990s would occasionally need service over the last 15 years, including recharging (causing the system to freeze), fan motor replacement, condensate line clog, and fuse replacement. There are a few companies available in Arlington, VA servicing Fairlington Villages, and even when I shopped around, Frosty's was always accommodating of the urgency of an HVAC system. At some point, when the freon that my system uses was no longer available, they had a limited supply to patch up my system as it got to its end of life. I shopped around for a replacement (an expensive job with every quote I was receiving from all vendors). Their familiarity with Fairlington helped me apply for the right variances so we can relocate the outside unit and find the right alternative for my condo. After settling on an American Standard unit, I also added the water heater (from the late 1980s) before it would fail and leak. They explained all the variables that would occur on installation day to set my expectations (best and worst case scenarios for the installation and timeframe). On the day of the installation, they came exactly on time, worked with us on our morning schedule before shutting down the water, pressure tested the HVAC lines, installed everything, and cleaned up completely after themselves. They finished 2 hours ahead of time. The system worked perfectly but after a week it started to fail to fully cool. After I called them they sent a tech the very next morning, refilled the system, and added dye to the lines so that in two weeks they couch check for leaks. Two weeks later, the system was still working perfectly fine and no leaks were found. I relied on them to be responsive and realistic and to work with me if/when problems would come up, and I found just that. The owner James and his crew are professionals.
