We’ve had the opportunity to enjoy having many of Expert Services wonderful employees work on our new home the last several months. The last few weeks we have had David, who we like to refer to as Fix-it-Felix, putting in the finish fixtures, water softener, and toilets in our house. He has been awesome and has gotten a lot of stuff done and a short amount of time! I’m very excited about personal touches, like the disposal that has a magnet in it so I don’t drop silverware down the drain and he made sure that we had snap off toilet seats that make cleaning a lot easier! We’re grateful to all the employees for all the help with everything! Richard has done all our heating and air and figured out some really complicated systems. Tyler helped with finish work. Leland helped with a lot of both HVAC and plumbing. Greg helped find all the parts we needed. Pete and Brandon helped with the start of the project. Jeremy helped and saved us so much with gas and sewer lines. Jim got everyone there and the job done. We are grateful for the professional service and kind employees.
Leland was great! Got the job done quick and was very responsible and easy to work with! Would recommend this company to everyone if they are all like Leland!
I have an older home, and the kitchen sink plumbing is .. wonky to say the least. I had tried everything myself to unclog it, and then ended up calling these folks. They were able to come the same day I called. Leland worked and worked and then worked some more, trying so hard to get it unclogged. He wasn’t able to finish that night, but came back the next day, with one of the master plumbers, John, and they were able to get my family taken care of and for such a good price. I will recommend them any day of the week, and have saved their number in my phone for the next plumbing emergency.
David came to our home and was knowledgeable, helpful and went the extra mile to install our water line to the fridge. We switched from ESCO to Expert Services Utah because they are the best! Can I get a hooah/HUA up in here?
Called for estimate to replace a typical 50-gallon gas water heater. Mine has hot and cold water threaded disconnects and a typical gas line union hook up. Easy access to our basement utility room. They charge $30 to take a look for an estimate. No big deal I guess if a quote comes in reasonable Called me back with an estimate of $2,700!!! A couple years ago I paid a plumber just over $1,000 for roughly the same job. I knew prices for water heaters and labor is up, so I expected something between $1,200 and $1,400. The Expert Services plumber agreed it was about a 1-hour job for him and that the replacement 6-9 year water heaters cost between $700-1,000. That leaves around $1,700-2,000 for labor, overhead, and profit. Either their plumbers are making over $1,000/hour labor or Expert Services, Orem is preying on consumer ignorance of what a basic water heater replacement costs. Hired another plumber the next day to replace with a professional grade heater for $1,200. My hired plumber said Expert's plumber dismantled our 2nd, back-up water heater (that I told him was working fine), leaving a couple service panels off and screws on the floor. The plumber I hired reinstalled them for me. Needless to say, I quickly scratched Expert Services off my contractor list. Be smart folks. You work hard for your money. A little research and an extra call or two can save you $1,500 on a basic 1-hour job.
As of February 2023: I will preface this review by saying that I have had Expert Services do several jobs for me in the past and they have done great work each time. In the past, I feel like their prices have been fair for the services being provided, however, I feel their prices have increased to the point that they have become excessively high. I noticed that their prices have become high after using their services to replace my broken water heater. My 40-gallon gas water heater recently stopped working in the middle of the winter and I called Expert Services to see if they could fix it. The office staff I spoke with was friendly, professional, and accommodating and was able to get a plumber out to my house that same day to look at the water heater. The plumber informed me that it would cost $600 to replace the broken part and could possibly be several weeks before the part would arrive since my water heater was an older model. I decided it would be better to replace the water heater due to the high cost of the replacement part. The plumber quoted me $2,279.46 to replace the water heater and another $259.31 to replace the associated water heater expansion tank for a total cost of $2538.77. I asked what kind of water heater they would be installing and the plumber ensured me it would be a quality top of the line water heater. At this point, I should have looked for quotes from other companies, but Expert Services had been fair to me in the past and I didn’t want to be without a water heater in the middle of the winter, so I decided to go with Expert Services. The plumber scheduled the install for the next day. The plumber did a great job with the install, but when I itemized the parts used during the install, I felt that the prices Expert Services charged me were excessively high. For example, they installed a Bradford White 40 Gallon (URG240T6N) Gas Water heater and an Everbilt 2-gallon Thermal Expansion Tank. I looked up the water heater and found the average pri
This was my first time to use Expert services and they are exceptional. The first plumber Mike from Expert services came to fix the gas smell problem that my tenants complained in my rental property. Plumber Mike was extremely carefully checked with tools, and found out there was no the leaking gas. Instead, he fixed a toilet problem which might cause that smell. After he fixed, he explained everything on the phone to me. We were very happy about what he found out and fixed it. Last Friday, my other tenants called and saying there was a water leaking in the utility room so I called Expert Plumbing and Heating, Air & Electrical again, the scheduler Grace sent another plumber called Chase B. to my Holladay townhouse on the same day, (I really appreciate it), and Plumber Chase was so professional, and immediately found out two leaking problems. He replaced the leaking expansion tank for the water heater on site, and he also found out an exterior water leaking near the total water control valve. He advised me that he would come back next Monday with spare parts to replace the valve. Because we would need my whole community( 20 houses) to turn off water for a half hour, the plumber went ahead to call my HOA property manager to let every household know the community water will be shut off in order to fix the exterior water leak. Then he repaired and solved the exterior water leaks. What a great work attitude to get it done from this plumber Chase! Our community property manager was also impressed about plumber Chase to solve the problem and his work ethics. I think we will use Expert Services for the going services and I strongly recommend this company for all households in utah.
Jim did a fantastic job and the turn around time from call to having him at the door was less than an hour, truly amazing! I highly recommend this company and kudos to Jim for a great job!
Lance came out to help our business with a toilet clog and Lance did an outstanding job and was friendly. 5 stars would highly recommend.
Chandler was knowledgeable, informative, and patient as I asked several questions across different topics including A/C, water heater, shower, and drain problems. He was able to resolve the most pressing issues on the spot and provided great guidance/options for longer term items. Thanks for a good experience, highly recommend.
Our furnace was giving us some problems. We called in the evening. Jorge was here first thing in the morning. He got everything tuned up and working great. He was on time and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions and was very respectful in my home. Such a pleasant guy and a great experience with Expert Services.
There were three of us in the house who were affected immensely by this event and this company’s AMAZING employees. Gavin, Josh, Jeremy, and Brandon spent two days,- knee deep in dirt and mud working on tearing up my garden with hopes on repairing our sewer line and ensuring that we had working toilets as soon as possible. That is not the only amazing part. The other amazing part was to us, was that in this uncertain day and age where employees no longer care about their jobs let alone their clients, these men went above and beyond to make sure we all were comfortable with their presence in our space and that they restored our space to its original state. Gavin and Josh stayed well into the night, using spot lights so that they could see in order to fulfill the promise they made us, which they honored. From the first phone call, to the last dirt clot, the company made us feel confident in our choice in calling them, they were very professional and seemed to have everything covered. They sent us a text with the technician’s picture and background information anytime a tech came to our home to let us know who to expect at our door (nice touch). Gavin was the first of Express’s team members to show up. Instantly he soothed our already frazzled nerves. With the confidence he gave off, that no matter the circumstance, he and his team would be able to fix whatever problem that lie ahead. They made each of us feel like part of their crew and that we had some modicum of control, explaining what exactly was going on and what the next moves were going to be. And after my approval they were off like a shot. We cannot convey how fortunate we all felt to have lucked out with this group of men. We originally contacted another large company who came in to assess the problem and not only did the technician enter a room he was specifically instructed not to enter, they bid almost twice as much as Express Services. David and Leland came to install a broken water heater in my tight uncomfortable crawl space and did a phenomenal job! They were very knowledgeable, professional, and easy to talk to. It was David's openness and honesty that led me to go with Expert Services. Weeks after the install and still very satisfied.
I called Expert Services for a problem with a leaky Bathtub drain and a frozen outside water faucet. Pete came out and gave me an estimate which is what the final bill turned out to be. Pete worked quickly and professionally and fixed both within a few hours of starting. Pete was friendly, knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. This was not my first job with Expert Services and I would happily call them again for any future problems.
Once again, Expert Services lives up to their name. Richard M. was professional, knowledgeable, thorough, informative, and friendly while servicing our ac and furnace and left everything clean when completed. He also left a detailed report with pictures on the work done with recommendations. Very assuring and professional. I highly recommend their services to anyone. They set the A+ standard in my book. We keep going back to them for trusted service.
Marcus was super amazing. What a great experience. Honest, reliable and so kind. He showed up when he said he would, diagnosed it very quickly, fixed the problem within minutes and gave us no-pressure options. I was so impressed!
We just had a brand new furnace and central air system installed today by Any Hour. Three great technicians, William, Josh, and Gabriel were so great to work with. They did a wonderful job! They just left and we are sitting in our cooling home, it’s so cool….really! Highly recommended this working bunch of guys.
Keaton was a great electrical technician. He was on-time, and very patient with me when explaining what needed to be done and why. We had him finalize the prep work for a hot tub hookup, and are glad he was here to do it, because we ran into a few hiccups that he was able to resolve. I really appreciated the communication from Expert. I got a text as soon as our tech was on his way, with love tracking to see how soon he’d arrive. We’re used to waiting hours during a large window for other contractors in the past, so this was a welcome improvement to the system.
I had a pipe break and flood a finished living room in the basement and needed service asap to fix the pipe and stop the flooding on a Friday afternoon. I called a local company that advertises everywhere and promises to come at "any hour" and the soonest they could come was 3 days. I called Expert Services and explained my situation and they had someone there in a few hours. They were able to fix the pipe and take care of the issue quickly and efficiently.
We had a sewage backup in our home. The first plumber we called (not Expert Services) did an initial scope of our sewer line and saw that the pipe was crushed, cracked, and bellied in several places across about 30 feet due to tree roots. Their quote to repair the line was $17,000. At that point, we called five different plumbing companies to get quotes. Expert Services was by far the lowest quote. They did the job quickly (considering they had to dig a trench 9 feet deep and 30 feet long) and went above and beyond to make sure it was done well. They were willing to dig around our trees (although we had the trees cut down anyway) and they packed gravel all along the new sewer line and put salt all around it to prevent future roots from growing near it. I was very pleased with their value and professionalism. We will call them again next time we need plumbing services.
