Interstate was called to fix a frozen AC unit at a property I own in Nashville. Upon arrival they claimed the property had no air flow and that ducts sealed in wall cavities, that had not been accessed after initial construction, were 'crushed' or 'blocked'. They recommended ripping the drywall out of our three story home to assess and repair duct work. They did not offer to scope the ducts to look for damage (we would've gladly paid for this). They did not do any diligence regarding filter checks or unit pressure, and charged us for an 'annual tune up' at the same time as they charged us for the other work; I'm not sure why this was invoiced and paid by our property manager (who also simply took them at their word the ducts were damaged...). As this unit had previously frozen, and the solution was replacement of filters, I recommended this. They didn't listen or attempt to try, likely because they couldn't upcharge us a large sum for a simple fix. At this point, we had the original installer come out for a second opinion. Air flow had resumed within the unit to all but one floor as the unit had thawed. The technician explained Interstate AC's tech had completely disconnected the wiring from zones and reinstalled them incorrectly, causing the lack of airflow due to a closed damper. The work was bad enough that, while they were kind enough to fix the wiring mess Interstate made, the original installer voided the warranty on our unit and will no longer service it. Our property manager then had new filters installed at my recommendation by another party which solved the freezing issue. We called Interstate for records of work performed on our unit to attempt to repair the relationship with our original HVAC company. After repeated calls asking for a simple invoice or receipt, Interstate has failed to return calls or provide any information. Horribly unprofessional. Recommended major renovation to an occupied home for what was ultimate a HVAC filter issue
Just has been a terrible experience with this company. Communication god awful, over 24 hours late with no explanation just blanket excuses for mishandling the business and customer needs.
100% would not recommend Interstate A/C to anyone ! Our property manager chose them tp service our unit that had been out for 2 days . Tech arrived to “fix” our AC and had to be called back out within 2 days because his repairs were unsuccessful. The tech arrives, and sits in vehicle for about 8 minutes on his phone , so I go outside attempting to waive to let him know we were home … even left the door unlocked and cracked so that he hwalk right in. About 15 more minutes go by and he’s still outside . By the time I get downstair he pulled off , never knocked or rung door bell. I call the dispatcher and she says he said he called and we told him to come back later which was a 100% lie. No phone call whatsoever ! I’m a local Realtor and will warn all of my clients and everyone I can about this Company. To lie about something so small , I wouldn’t trust them in my home .
Don’t know what their service is like but you should watch out for these vans on the road. This guy just cut me off, almost causing a wreck. Hope their ac work is better than their driving
Great company, restored our heat when we were freezing! A month later we asked them to replace our AC units. Awesome!

Driver of a work van on august 2nd 2022, 3:40pm on 840 in Murfreesboro was road raging and brake checking me for allowing him to merge in front of me as his speed exceeded my own. Unbelievable experience with a work van.
I just had a driver fly past me and cut me off in one of their pickup trucks on Rte 109 in Lebanon. He did all this just to make a right turn. And I wasn't going slow by any means. Terrible advertising for your company!
Our A/C went out. Three different companies visited and told us “busted compressor”on aR22 refidgerant system, replace the entire system. All wanted over $7,000! Interstate came on time, their tech Abel was great. Figured out it was failed start capacitor. He had the part and we were cool again in few hours for a few hundred bucks. I will definitely use them again!!
Next time your driver cuts me off on 386 I won’t slam on my brakes and let him hit me! Bad driving in a company truck isn’t great advertising for your company!

We had our AC go out on us during one of the hottest weeks of the year. Interstate's dispatcher quickly got us connected to Dave who was amazing. Showed up promptly, completed a difficult rooftop unit repair, and was very professional. Kudos to Dave and Interstate--would definitely use them again!
Interstate AC Service did an OUTSTANDING job with installing my HVAC Unit. Tommy came out promptly & assessed the need for a new unit after I experienced weeks of NO air conditioning in June 2021. Tommy oversaw the installation by a team who were competent. & professional. They arrived promptly on time & were focused throughout the HVAC installation. Tommy came on-site to ensure everything was done per our agreement. Tommy called afterwards to make sure the unit was cooling properly & confirm my satisfaction. THANK You Tommy, & the team: JC, Thomas & William. I give Tommy & the Installation Team 5 stars & highly recommend Interstate HVAC services.

This company installed a HVAC unit without my authorization. They are disrespectful and bullied their customers! Do not do business with them!
Part of being in a customer service business is driving in a company vehicle. A driver in one of their trucks was driving way over the speed limit, weaving in and out of traffic. He veered into my lane while fumbling for a cigarette. All of this during rush hour on 440 with all the construction going on. There are plenty of good HVAC technicians,I suggest choosing one that drives responsibly.
