Beware! This company came out to repair our A/C and replaced a contactor and capacitor. It’s a 10 year old unit so they topped up the Freon as well. I paid the bill and the tech went about his day. It worked for about 24 hours before shutting back down. I called the company back and the original customer service rep, who was great, passed me over to someone else. She was not so great at talking to customers and she refused to send a tech back out, demanding that I buy a new unit instead. The tech had not advised us in buying a new unit unless we didn’t like paying for the older, more expensive Freon. It was a choice. This new person thought we declined some sort of advice to upgrade. I asked for that same tech to come back and tell me that’s what he said. They declined instead saying they’d refund me - which they haven’t done by the way! I had another company come out to see what the real issue was and they fixed it in 5 minutes. I simply have a breaker going bad. That’s all! If Cumberland were better at treating their customers right, this review wouldn’t exist. Please work on your customer service experience!
Cumberland has been great to work with. They're generous with their time, highly professional, and have a level of responsiveness that can be rare in this industry. Highly recommend!
Floyd came out at 9 pm to fix the air unit to the house I was dog sitting in. He was the only company that was able to come out as fast as I needed them to or I would have had to take the dogs I was watching, all 4 of them, to my house. Needless to say he was a lift saver and got the 96 degree house cooled down in time for the pups to stay at their house!!! Great and fast service!!!! Will use this company for all my future needs.
Billy was great. After what I'm sure was a very long day for him, he showed up with a smile! On a SATURDAY, at 5:00 p.m. - on a very hot Saturday at that! Very grateful they could even fit me in the schedule. It's been so hot, I'm sure a lot of folks are putting their systems to the test right now. Highly recommend them.
In the middle of the heatwave, Billy came and fixed our AC the same day we called and very quickly! He explained what caused the issue well and explained what we should do in case anything comes up again. Great service!

Billy and Floyd are amazing people. They came out on Tuesday identified the problem and we had a brand new unit installed on Wednesday! Extremely knowledgeable and Professional. Also Dog Friendly!
We enjoyed working with several of the teammates at Cumberland Mechanical. Billy's attention to detail and workmanship helped to fix all of our issues with the original installation. He not only works tirelessly but he will do everything in his power to make the customer happy, including moving a 2.5 ton unit himself! Another amazing teammate, Eli, even came over in the evening to put in portable units until our installation was complete so that we at least had some relief from the heat. Billy and Eli were outstanding service providers and a pleasure to work with. Thanks so much!
Floyd and his team are wonderful! Our a/c stopped working one evening in the middle of a heat wave and with a young child at home, the situation was even more stressful. I called Cumberland around 9pm, and a tech was at our home within a few hours. They ended up needing to replace a part the next morning and Floyd and Rick got our system up and running by the time my daughter was home from school that day. Highly recommend, and will be calling Cumberland for our future HVAC needs!
Our AC stopped working on Sunday morning, we called around and Cumberland AC was able to fit us in on Monday morning. Billy came out to our home and fixed our AC within an hour. We set up maintenance with the company as well by joining the membership and the pricing was very fair.
Not only did they get here days faster than anyone else, the team was communicative, helpful, and fast. Billy was great and was even so nice about being quiet for my 1 yr old taking a nap.
I woke without heat on a Saturday morning. I was able to speak with someone quickly. Both the scheduler and technician communicated with me regularly and the issue was diagnosed and repaired by mid-afternoon. Very professional.
Everyone in this company has been amazing! They are always open and honest with needs and pricing. They were so helpful with financing and have made the whole replacement process easy.

I have used Cumberland multiple times and will continue to use them. They are very knowledgeable, professional, and get the job done. We used them to remove our old dual unit and install a new split unit and run the air return from the ceiling instead of lower part of wall at our house that we sold. Used them 2 more times to do a check of the HVAC units at 2 additional houses that we were interested in buying. Used them again at the new house that we bought to replace a worn blower motor and the switch that automatically turns on the unit when temperature falls out of set range.
Cumberland Mechanical is my go to place for HVAC work! I would recommendation to anyone.

Cumberland Mechanical has completed several jobs for us and not only are they the best value for the money, the are quick to get the job done and their staff is wonderful. We have had them repair, replace and clean HVAC units for us and the most recently clean our ice machines. We will continue our relationship with them due to their overall performance. I would recommend this company for all your HVAC needs and all the other services they provide.
