Did a great job , got me up and running the next day on a unit they installed for me almost 30 years ago. It's nice to have a old established company that you can depend on these days.
Charged $160 for a $50 thermostat. It causes my heat pump to run constantly unlike the original. The thermostat wasn’t the problem. Told me it was a programmable thermostat but it isn’t. Also charged me $100 just to come to my house for which I got nothing. Then charged me for labor on top. Will never use them again.
If you’re looking at reviews looking for a company to call look no further. I’m a local realtor I would recommend anyone to call Gary and the guys at Compass. They do fantastic work and cut no corners to make sure the job is done right. They are the best value in Knoxville. Thanks for doing such a great job guys!!
Came back from a three week trip to a house at 88 degrees. They were able to fit me in the next day and the service was quick and friendly. Highly recommend, especially for 37917!

Compass is an amazing company! Sometime while we were out of town the HVAC drain pipe got clogged and flooded our basement. I had called half a dozen other companies and nobody was taking new clients or had time to send anyone out. Phyllis at the office originally told us it would be Thursday before she could send someone out, but then called within a couple hours and sent us someone who had a break in his day. Donnie came out and got us taken care of within 30 minutes. Prices are very fair and everyone was very nice and professional. We will definitely be using this company in the future!
I have been with Compass for years. Gary, Phyllis, and Becky are just fantastic. There was a problem at one of my rental houses and they came out the next day and acquired the needed parts and repaired it the following day - at no cost to me because I had purchased the unit from them a few years ago and it was still under warranty. How could you ask for more? Thanks, guys!
I've been using Compass since 1994. They've installed several units for me and my family over the years and have given the best customer repair experience. Honest as the day is long.

I called Compass for a quote for a new AC unit and the price was perfect, Lead tech Chase did the install new air conditioning as well as a duct cleaning in Knoxville and we couldn't be happier. The new Air Conditioner works great, it's quiet and efficient. Highly recommend Compass Heating and Air.

I bought my house a year ago and was sold a home warranty. The HVAC unit started having issues right away. The Warranty Company sent Techs out at least 10 different times and from at least 4 different companies and no one could fix the unit. I finally gave up on the home warranty and called Compass Heating and Air. They came out right away found the problem, the unit needed to be replaced. This was 4 days before Christmas, Willie and his team came out and replaced the unit on DEC. 23rd so I would have heat for Christmas. I cannot thank or recommend this company enough for all their help and kindness.

My family and myself, have always used Jim Dalton, at Compass Heating and Air!! Jim is a Class Act, as his family is. I have known Jim most of my life!! He is easy for me to contact when there is a problem and he is out to fix the problem in more than a timely manner!! I know he is very busy and makes the time to take care of me and other members of my family!! I will ALWAYS use Jim Dalton and recommend him to anyone!! Example; My heat went out Sunday night. I did everything I knew to do to see if it would come back on. It never come back on. So, I just called and Jim told me he would be here tomorrow. I told him just come when he can. I know he has many other customers to take care of. I really appreciate Jim and Compass Heating and Air very much!!!! I will always use Jim!!!! Buddy, you are not allowed to retire!!!!! LOL!!
Great Job. They installed ny mew system while I was out of town and it was a GREAT JOB. I would recommend to anyone.
We have used Compass since 1995 both for our own home and for our rental properties. They are prompt and professional. Their technicians are great at troubleshooting problems. Their work has always been entirely satisfactory. In short we are very happy with their service.
Chuck and the guys were great. My AC went out and I ordered a new unit. They showed up and on time and the new evaporator coil and condenser was installed under 3 hours. Great guys, great service. Will use Compass in the future!
