I cannot compliment these guys enough. Our AC went out on Friday evening, before Labor Day weekend. I emailed them to see if they do weekend calls. I got an email immediately back from Angela saying that they didn’t do calls on a holiday weekend, but have times on Tuesday. While we were sweating most of the time, I was appreciated that they responded and were able to stop at our place the next day they were open (usually, it isn’t until the end of the week). Roger and Bobby came out and got right to work. They explained that the unit needed to be cleaned so it could run more efficiently, and they re-filled the Freon. They were quick efficient and explained a lot of the details they were working on. I highly recommend them and would call them back immediately for maintenance or to fix our unit.

If I could give this company zero stars, I would. They were assigned to us through our home warranty company; however, they were useless from the start. We have an upstairs air unit working improperly in the middle of summer. We first requested a service call in May. The technician came out and initially told me that my two separate units could not coexist. That was after being here for only five minutes. So he left and did nothing. But then he returned five minutes later after speaking to his boss who had informed him that indeed my two units could coexist if pressure was released. So he removed refrigerant from my upstairs unit. Temperatures dropped the next week and so the unit seem to be working correctly. However, when temperatures increased again outside, so did our indoor, upstairs temperatures. So again we called the home warranty and they sent us this company. Except this time the technician never showed up. They were supposed to come one afternoon and never came. No call. No communication of any kind. Then completely out of the blue a week later they showed up at my door wanting to check my unit which was again running normally because temperatures had dropped outside. I shared this with the technician and he said well there’s no point in me looking at it if it isn’t working improperly and he left. Now it is 1 July, very hot outside, and I can’t get my indoor temperature to come down. This morning I called a different heating and cooling company because our home warranty has expired; never mind that I do not want to use certified heating and cooling ever again. Don’t waste your time or money.

On Thursday, 5/23/19, a technician from Certified Heating & Cooling came out to my house for an appointment. He asked me what was wrong with my unit and I replied that, to my knowledge, there was nothing wrong and that this was a service provided by my warranty for a scheduled maintenance check and tune-up. I simply wanted to make sure that my unit was running efficiently in preparation for the summer heat. The tech seemed a bit confused and then he openly admitted to not even reading the service order prior to our conversation (I can only assume that he read it once he went back to his vehicle). After spending no more than 10 minutes outside (not checking anything inside), he returned to tell me that everything with the unit looked great and that he did not identify any issues. He then left promptly to another call. Unfortunately, my family and I woke up to a non-functioning unit this morning (5/24/19). I guess it is possible, albeit unlikely, for a unit that was deemed to be in great working order by a "certified hvac technician" to suddenly fail overnight. However, the main reason for this negative review is that upon informing Certified Heating & Cooling of my predicament I was told by the receptionist that there was nothing that could be done about it until next Wednesday. I insisted that it be handled sooner than 5 days because of the technician ensuring me the day prior that there were no issues with my unit. Then the receptionist said she would have the owner reach out to me to see what could be done. Based on other negative reviews and the owner's lack of response to them, I really shouldn't be surprised that I never received a call back. Apparently you will only get a response for positive reviews (praise that is most likely coming from friends or family). I'm very disappointed in this business and it's practices but even more frustrated that my warranty chose to work with them in the first place given Certified Heating & Cooling's poor reputation.

I'll give certified 2 stars. I've delt with this company a handful of times through two different warrenty companies. we know what the issue is and after three years of putting bandaids on the issue (this was the warrenty company's fault I'll admit), my husband and I have finally decided to replace our unit. I called certified because they were the ones to diagnose the issue originally and I was thankful. I figured why not give our money to this company since they have been out numerous times. it's been three weeks without air. again, this blame is on the warrenty company but I'm highly upset about what happened today. we had an appointment scheduled between 4p-630p to get a full estimate for the unit and installation. sadly, its 9pm and I haven't even received so much as a call apologizing that they couldnt come. its Friday which means my 3 year old, my 7 year old, and my 6 dogs will have to suffer until next week when I can call a different company to come out. thanks for diagnosing the issue but today was unprofessional and unacceptable.

Nothing short of amazing! Prompt, professional and courteous staff and service! Took 10 minutes to diagnose the problem. Took about 15 minutes to fix once the part came in they had to order. Roger was my technician and he was amazing! The woman I spoke with at their office was friendly.

This is the worst Heating and Cooling company I have ever used/dealt with. There have been bumps due to the warranty company, that I will not blame them for. However, tomorrow marks 3 weeks (21 whole days) without air in my home. Today, we had a 2-6pm window to finally have our air fixed! We got a call at 5:52pm from our technician who said that he had just finished all of his calls today, but neglected to pick up our part on Monday, when it arrived, at our warranty company and they were now closed for the day. Then he proceded to tell us that we will have to call and schedule another appointment tomorrow, but they may not be able to get to us by tomorrow. I have two 100lb dogs who are dying in the heat. They have offered no compensation or even remorse about the situation. Definitely in need of a recommendation for a new heating and cooling company because Certified is obviously unable to help.

This company is a terrible company to work with. This is the second time I have had to rearrange my day and my work schedule because they claim somebody is coming to my house to fix my air conditioning unit. Twice in one week I have had a no call, no show, and not even a call back after leaving messages. I guess because it is a warranty job, they don't care that my house is 80 degrees in the middle of this Tennessee hot weather. I wouldn't recommend them to anybody! If your warranty company sets up an appointment with them, demand somebody else! It's not worth the waste of time to sit and wait for no one to show up. Awful experience!!

My home warranty assigned Certified Heating & Cooling to repair my unit when it had begun leaking inside my home. As of this morning, my home has been without air for 2 WEEKS! I would give this company "no stars" if it were possible. In short, from Certified H & C you can expect: •…to wait days, if not weeks, to have your system repaired, if at all. •…rude and unprofessional conversations with the office help…”Angie.” •…to be called a liar by this same office person, “Angie.” •…to be literally ignored. “Angie,” who is on the frontlines of customer service for this company, will quickly tell you that home warranty jobs are secondary to “their customers.” •…to never be called, nor get a callback after multiple messages. •…the root problem to be glossed over, (if the root problem is actually found in the quick, 15-minute service call!) while a “band aid” hopefully will fix the problem for the time being. This one “credit” I will give to Certified H & C. I was contacted within the 24 hr. period. It was downhill from there. The first technician spent a whopping 15 minutes in my home. He blew out the lines, added Freon and called it a day. (He didn’t even glance at the coils, or else he would’ve found what the Senior Technician found in a later service call....clogged coils.) I turned on the air, vacuumed the damp carpet, put a fan on it, and went to bed. The following morning, I woke up to find my carpet was now SOAKING wet. I turned off the unit, attempted to call Certified, only to hear a “closed until Monday” message. I tried texting the technician, but was ignored. Monday morning I called the office. “Angie” was rude and hateful, and said “no one was getting out there today.” When I tried to stress the technician had not done his job, and the damage that had therefore occurred overnight, she became extremely hateful, telling me that “this is warranty work, and our other customers come first! We’ll get to you when we can, but paying customers come first

This past December we got one of those winter heatwaves that shouldn't happen, and I had to turn on my home's AC. Shortly thereafter, I found water leaking onto my ceiling. My home warranty assigned Certified to the job. The techs arrived, found a clog in the drain, blew it out, and called it a day. Total time spent: about 10 to 15 minutes. Winter finally set in, so I didn't run the unit for the next few months, but almost as soon as heat arrived, I had the same issue again. After climbing up to look at the unit myself, I found a wet/dry switch that would have tripped the unit before allowing it to overflow. I called my home warranty company, and another contractor identified that the unit had been poorly Frankensteined together and would need to be replaced. Over my objections, since the level of incompetence required to miss the wet/dry switch was astounding, Certified was selected for a second opinion. After 10 minutes in the house, they chalked the entire problem to a valve and low Freon, underbidding the original contractor and getting the job. That was over a week ago. After they failed to return phone calls, I finally managed to arrange an appointment for today between 1 and 4 PM. We received no courtesy call, and when I tried to call the company, apparently nobody was home. 4 PM came and went with no word and no service. It is over 100°F in my bedroom. My fiancee and I are having to sleep downstairs on an air mattress, since it's only in the upper 80s down there and passes for bearable with enough box fans. My indoor dog has been put outside, since it's colder outside than in. I have been over two weeks without AC in Tennessee's summer heat waiting for this company to do their jobs and fix something they failed to find the first time around. I'd say they dropped the ball, but that would imply that they picked it up in the first place. I could not possibly be less satisfied with the abominable service I've experienced from Certified Heating and Cooling of C

These guys are a joke. They nickel and dimed my home warranty company to death. Angie (the office staff) is rude and unprofessional..IF you can get her to answer the phone. Visit one; condensor coil out. Visit two (a week later), replace coil. Visit three; $1000.00 of refrigerant leaked out into the environment. Visit four; replace imaginary leaky part (that was checked on the prior visit). Visit five; water pouring from our ceiling (they can't come and check this out because "it's too hot outside") Really? The story continues, but you get the picture. AVOID
