Did not have the the equipment to do the job and they charge way to much. Overlooked the problem entirely. Called another company and they were able to resolve the problem
We had this company install two units in our new home. Reason being a warranty of 10 year on parts and 1st year labor was offered with the purchase of the Carrier units. We are now within days of the warranty expiring(according to our contract) and the system requires the inner coil to be replaced. Stacy at Apex is telling us " they made the mistake of putting a 10 year warranty on a unit that only had a 5 year warranty, and we do not have a valid warranty in place. She also stated if we had used their company for the yearly services ( instead of the one we used) then they would of covered the part. Since we didn't continue with their yearly services and the manufacturer actually only had a 5 year part coverage they will not stand by there contract. I have a contract that states 10 year warranty on parts from registration date from Apex. Doesn't matter if the manufacturer covers the part (due to Apex mistake or not) the company (Apex) is liable for the unit and its contracted warranty they gave us. Sad to say this company doe not stand behind its contracts.
It's nearly impossible to get a hold of these people, or even figure out IF and WHEN they will decide on showing up. They never seem to want to pick up their phones either. Instead I have to play a waiting game and just hope they might show. All around despicable service.
Dealt with Apex on two projects. One a light commercial and one a residential project. Both were carried out professionally and I would use them again in the future.
