Luke was awesome. On time, professional, knowledgeable, and honest when discussing options for my aging unit.
Luke is the best , awesome company honest reliable and friendly hands down the best !
Loved these guys they did wonderful! Turned out I had probably most of the staff here doing quite a bit of work between getting a new furnace, RO system, kitchen faucet, water softener as well as getting the house up to code on my water heater and fixing some old pressure valves that were way too close to my electrical box. Very pleased with them! Edit: turns out parts of what was done was done incorrectly... The furnace ductwork is not like it should be it's not level with the ground so the humidifier leaks and ductwork isnt rated for my new furnace so the blower works double time and the damage has already been done. i thought i even paid to have the ductwork updated as well... I'll need to pay another 1300 to get it fixed now... The RO tank is leaking air? so i need a new tank. You shouldn't have to refill air. I was quoted around 300 for that. My new water softeners bypass value broke after only a couple years part wasn't available to find so another company came in and installed a permanent fix. This was upsetting because the water softener was brand-new and they still make the unit not necessarily the companies fault but another thing that left me unhappy. Funny everything they did has broken just a couple years later... i do have my house checked and maintenance yearly as well. I'm not pleased and will find other plumbers and HVAC service companies.
Would give 0 stars if it was an option. They came out accomplished nothing and charged an outrageous price for it. Make sure you read the contract that states their work is an “attempt” and they don’t have to actually complete the service. Would not recommend to anyone.
*honest post* Had our A/C unit looked at and serviced and Idk, I definitely felt I was over priced for what I had done. Service call, cleaned unit and added a couple pounds of coolant and my bill was $1,000. My unit is on the cusp of its life and I understand that and all I was really looking for was to get it cooling again so my house wasn’t 80 degrees. My family and I were trying to muscle through the day with fans to stay cool but it got too warm in the house we caved and called. I wish I would have waiting to call my local go to but it was unbearable for my family to be in the house with no A/C. I was expecting $500 and it was double + some and it broke my sprit. Will definitely consider another option next time a service call is needed to my house and stick to using my local go to. Happy the tech got it running and cooling again but the price to service a unit + the pushy tactic to finance a whole new unit really didn’t still well with me.
I am a victim of their "AC Tune-Up" coupon. I should have known better and listened to the voice in my head. How much will a $29 truly cost me? Well the answer is $430, to replace the capacitor that the tech was working on taking off a wire to test. A capacitor that I could have bought online for $60 some dollars! They did not even talk about price until after installed and Oh here's your big bill. So I contacted them to talk about my concerns multiple times and my only reply was after the first one from Bonnie was going to forward to Ben the HVAC manager. Well guess what, after a month and more messages, "NO REPLY". Do not use this company, all they want is to take your money and run. The ownership should be ashamed but I am guessing they do not care!
I used one of their coupons in an ad for an AC “tune up.” The technician came out and told me I needed roughly $2K worth of work- adding Freon to my AC and cleaning out my air blower. Or they suggested I replace my AC altogether for $15k. They didn’t do any actual work with the tune up just made suggestions on what to fix. Called and got a second opinion at Waterbury. They came out and inspected it- told me that NOTHING was wrong with my AC whatsoever. It didn’t even need Freon. Almost completely got ripped off!
CROOKS! Go elsewhere! Wish I could give no stars! Paid 3x the amount compared to other companies in the area. I schedule many duct cleanings for many homes. Their cost was ridiculous! And no help or reason when I called to ask why so expensive. "It's the code in the system" was all I received for an answer.
I am reviewing simply because my experience was not as the other positive reviews provide. After paying the $70 fee just for them to come, I was apalled at how hard they sold me on things I didn't need nor had I requested. I would have cancelled the service and called someone else if I hadn't already paid the initial fee. After paying for the initial call, I had to call back to schedule a time for them to come back to do the actual work. So basically I paid them $70 to try to sell me things I didn't need and only to have them come back again to do the work that I actually wanted done. Cost to jet >50ft of pipe $354 + $70 service fee = using someone else for future plumbing issues. Also, after his crew left. Alan stuck stickers on all my appliances without asking. The kitchen pipe they jetted, leaked after they left. Lastly, Alan posts photos from your house on his Facebook page without approval or asking.
The plumber was at my home for less than 15 minutes and tightened a bolt under my bathroom sink. I was charged 264.36 I was shocked. The 56.00 on the website is a joke.
As a new homeowner at the time, I wasn't sure who to look for to repair my bath tub. I called Comfort heroes and they kept trying to get me to fix or change things that I didn't request or need. They charge 4x the amount other people charge for large and small projects. I would not recommend. On the bright side, they did fix my issue and I haven't had any problems since.
Our older furnace had been finicky so we called Comfort Heroes to come look at it. They were thorough in their inspection, but overplayed it’s problems. Told us we should replace is ASAP and quoted us $13,000 to get both furnace and AC replaced. We got a second, third, and fourth opinion, all of which said it was not an emergency to get it replaced and quoted us $4,000 less for the same stuff. A bunch of scammy salesman that know how to work on HVACs. Do yourself a favor and go with a smaller local business.
Well I had an issue tonight where I needed a plumber called at like 8ish pm was told I would get a call shortly waited til 1030ish and called back and they said they don't know why I had not been contacted. So it's almost midnight and have decided to just wait til morning cause never got a call back. I will definitely be calling somewhere in the morning to come fix my problem. I just wish they had been honest and said sorry we may be 24 hour company but we won't be available tonight.
I was really shocked at how much I was charged for about a job that took about an hour, twice as much as expected with only needing one part. I feel taken. Customer service was good.
I reached out to Comfort Heroes for an appointment - I was contacted very quickly, and they were able to send someone out to my home very quickly as well. I was impressed. My "comfort hero's" name was DARIEN - he was extremely knowledgeable, honest, and friendly. That's a rare combination to find nowadays. I had a very pleasant experience. And perhaps most importantly - my issue seems to be fixed!
I've used Comfort Heroes to install an outdated furnace and air conditioner in my home. They completed the job quickly and i think reasonably priced. I called them to help with a clogged urinal at my business. I had to pay them $1000 up front. The Tech came out, worked on it for a bit and then said he didn't have a long enough snake and would be back. 5 hours later he came back and fixed the problem for another $700. $1700 for labor. No parts were needed. We had the same problem a month later with another urinal. We called a different local mom and pop company who came out the same day, made 1 trip, fixed the problem for $135.26. Needless to say Comfort Heroes ripped off our non-profit youth facility.
Had them come give me an estimate and they turned on a leaking pipe and left. Leaked water under my kitchen floor and into my basement ceiling. They refused to fix anything and when they came back to do the work tried charging me over $1,000 on something that was quoted at $300. The “supervisor” Josh Victor told me they won’t do anything to fix it because the estimator doesn’t work for them anymore. Worst experience ever. Do not use this company
Insanely overpriced compared to competitors in the area. Suggested condemning the furnace when a simple repair was perfectly fine, and much cheaper elsewhere. The technician and customer service were great, but the value is the worst I have ever seen.
My furnace suddenly stopped working yesterday and could tell the pilot light was out. Comfort Heroes came out said my furnace needed to be replaced and if not the repair would be really expensive and he wasn’t even sure they had the part. Sent me two outrageous quotes for a new furnace, made sure to mention they financed and left. Never checked to see if they had the part nor give an estimate for that. Also, did not say what was wrong other than it was old and needed to be replaced. Called another company that came out in the evening. Checked everything over and said I needed to replace the igniter. He came back this morning and had my heat running within a half hour. The charge……$209 for the inspection last night and this morning’s work. Glad I got a second opinion instead of assuming my only option was a $15,000 furnace for furnace/ac. Will never use again.
They got the job done in one day. Tim was very professional. Would use Comfort Heroes again.
