Don't call them asking for any projects outside the ordinary, they will abruptly end the call.
Prompt and efficient
I have not used this business, but on January 20th, 2023 I was driving on a very busy Woodruff Rd in Greenville while a Gunter van was behind me, the light was green however I could not drive forward due to a backup and traffic. My car is very small and the man in the van should have been able to see over the top of my car and see that it was backed up. He honked at me and then when we started moving he moved into the other lane, flipped me off and yelled what looked like “f*** you!” I called to leave a complaint so I hope they do take action. It was a older man, with white hair and glasses. This is disgusting behavior and reflects badly on the business. I now know I will never use this business if I needed AC work due to the unprofessionalism. Just want to add the lady I spoke to on the phone was kind and helpful.
Original unit installed by Gunter when house was built 18 years ago, so we continued to use them or service when we purchased the house. Just had a new a/c unit installed this past August and all went without a hitch under the direction of Tim Edmonds and his team. This past week, during the freeze of the decade, we had a line freeze under the house that left us without heat at 3 a.m. on Christmas Eve morning. We left a voicemail at 4 a.m. and Tim returned the call by 6:45 a.m. and was in our driveway by 7:30 that morning. Thankfully, a minor repair and our heat was back on in no time. Can't say enough about the response time in terribly cold weather on a holiday weekend.
Highly incompetent and does not stand by their work. Had a bad attitude when we tried to get their poor quality issues resolved.
It feels like family.
They have always been very responsive no matter the day or hour and have always gotten us cool again. The service personnel are all very courteous and share what they are doing etc. My wife and I highly recommend Gunther Heating and Air Conditioning
Buyer Beware !!! The technician charged almost $400 for refilling freon for AC unit for upstairs covering 1000 sqt . It didn't take more than 10min. I've heard people pay for average between $150-200. What A Rip Off!
I had tremendous service at a home in Pickens and I am living in Easley for over 5 years and their service has been great . Today, a Sat, Mike took care of not having heat and he remembers working on my home in Pickens. Thank you to Gunter for being here.
Came out when no one else would
First of all the receptionist isn’t very pleasant at all. They sent someone out to look at our AC Unit because it was blowing warm air. After he “fixed” it and charged us $260, the AC unit performed even worse-blowing out warmer air. So we called them again on a Sunday and the guy on call said that he would have to charge us an additional $165 just to come out and look at our AC. This guy actually asked to come in and look at the main unit in the attic, something that the first guy never did. He also said that out AC had no Freon in it at all. The first repair guy supposedly put Freon in our AC unit. Then he tells us we need a part that has to be ordered. Now keep in mind the original repair guy charged us $260 for “servicing” our AC. I’m seriously considering legal action against this business if they don’t attempt to make things right.

Gunter installed our HVAC unit. Whenever we have had issues they have been responsive and kind. The technicians are very professional. It is rare to find a company with such integrity anymore. Don’t hesitate to use them for your heating and air needs.

Rude phone person. First tech came out and stated it had to be a bad termostat as he could find nothing else wrong. Installed new termostat and no luck. Another tech came out and said their was a leak and I would have to replace my whole HVAC system. I asked for cost and he said he'd "have to run it past the big guy." I never heard back. Over all disappointing experience. I plan to charge back my service call as they did absolutely nothing, and never followed up.
I have known Gunters heating and air over 25 years they are a family-owned business that is honest and caring I would recommend them to you
