Our heat and air conditioner (ac) was not working- another company had left the job unfinished and the issues were unresolved. We called Wayne (of affordable Heating and Cooling) , and he came over on a holiday and professionally rewired, put new parts on the furnace and ac and completed the job perfectly at no additional cost! I will recommend him in a heart beat.
Wayne was so nice. He fixed a mess from a company that did bad install. His price was very fair. Will call him again
Wayne came recommended by a friend. First time we called him for service he was fairly responsive and came out to fix our HVAC system shortly after. Had to have him come back because my heat stopped working properly throughout the entire house not too long after. He serviced it again and it was fine for the rest of the winter. Warm days in May begins and my AC is blowing hot air! Contacted him to come out and he said he was booked and I had to wait a little. Scheduled me for about a week after. Fine.. except he never showed on scheduled date. He messaged us stating he was severely behind and couldn’t make it. OK- never rescheduled. I contacted him a few times after even up until last week and he’ll read my messages and doesn’t respond!!! I ended up paying Carjon Air Conditioning and Heating to repair my system. They told me wiring wasn’t don’t properly causing for my cool air to not work. Unreal. Thanks for nothing Wayne!
Brandon was our tec and went above and beyond…. It took 2 days but not his fault… stayed here until the heat came up … figured out the problem and didn’t waste any time getting it done…. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone… very professional polite accurate… thankful beyond words
I woke up Saturday morning hearing a loud clicking noise coming from the boiler. I reached out to affordable heating and air conditioning service in North Providence. Within minutes they responded back asking further questions. Within a few hours they were on site diagnosing the problem. I was very pleased with their professionalism and attentiveness. They truly are a 24 hour reliable service company.
I had an emergency. They were able to come the same day. The service was top notch and price was less than I expected.
They called the very day. They came by and fixed the heating. But affordable is a issue.
Affordable heating went above and beyond with their services. They showed up on the day as expected with great customer service and great services cost. I 100% recommend them. Services done: Steam boiler cleaning, radiator valve replacement, steam valve replacement and as a bonus, extra tips to maintain my heating system properly.

Wayne Hawkins provides excellent reasonably priced heating and air conditioning repair service. He put in a high quality booster pump, replaced a circulator pump and a pressure relief valve for a total $1450.00. I also used Wayne over the summer for central air conditioning repair. He is friendly, extremely honest, does meticulous work. I plan to use him again for other projects and highly recommend him to anyone who needs work done in their home.
There's nothing affordable about that business. The worst customer service ever. I will never use them again or recommend them to anyone.

We lost heat at night and reached out to a few companies. The office got back to us via email almost immediately. Wayne called early in the am to send someone out and we had our heat back by 11am. John was super easy to work with and made sure we knew what he did and what we need to do in the future. Will definitely be working with them again. Seems like the bad reviews here are just people who caught them at a busy time. People are way more likely to leave a negative review than a positive one after all.
I called this business yesterday, and Wayne came by TODAY. He got the job done, and his pricing was extremely affordable! I'm extremely happy that I won't be sleeping with my windows open after today. Praise God
Run! If there is 1 word to describe this business it would be “unreliable “ Horrible experience. This man will never call you back. He came out to estimate replacing my boiler and went out of his way to mention how he’d work extra fast to get my family hot water again. Turned out he was full of it. First he sent me a much higher quote than we discussed with very limited details. He then said he’d send me a cheaper quote by the end of the next day and promptly disappeared for over a week. When he resurfaced, he decided he didn’t want to do the work because apparently I called him too many times during his disappearance.. Totally unreliable. Back to square one.
I was excited to see all the good reviews, but apparently Wayne is too busy to return my calls. I am not sure I want to use a company who does not return calls, especially when I have an emergency. I own a small business and would at least call future customers back, even if to say we can't take on new customers. No way to run a service business.
Run away fast from this guy. I had 4 other companies come look at Affordable Heating & Air Conditioning's work (hvac installation) and requested their assessments be put in writing and sent to my email. Every single company described the same flaws - shoddy parts, bad design, hazardous installation, poor workmanship. All four said they could try and make it work better; three of them said after their repair, they would not be able to carry a contract on it. Two of them stated he wouldn't be allowed to work for their companies. I showed them all his emails (w/his name blocked-out) and they couldn't apologize enough. The emails and their reports are in the process of being bound in preparation for sending to several government figures in Rhode Island. As one company owner said, 'Ma'am, you were taken for a lot more than just a ride - it stinks that people think we're all untrustworthy due to scam like this." Yep, that has been my lingering thought.
