I bought a property and EG Smith came out to inspect my oil tank in order to deliver my initial tank of oil after having delivered oil to the same property for years for the previous owner. Refused to deliver oil to my property after declaring my oil tank leaked when it had just passed inspection four months prior. After I had a second inspection by another professional done it was discovered that a small water leak was coming into the basement through the wall and dripping down the back of the oil tank and off the bottom, making it look at a glance as though the oil tank was leaking. There was surface rust from the water leak and EG Smth's employee John declared that the oil tank was leaking oil, was dangerously rusty, and needed to be replaced at great expense before any oil could be delivered to it. Fortunately due to the second inspection the water leak was easily repaired, the oil tank superficial rust needed only light sanding, the oil tank was painted and has been dry and beautiful ever since (8 months ago) and of course there had never been an oil leak. When I spoke to Michelle at EG Smith to let her know about John's mistake about the "leaking" oil tank she continually interrupted me and refused to listen. Thankfully I got that second inspection and the total cost of repairs was $50 plus a can of paint rather than the thousands required by the salesman EG Smith sent out. Savings due to getting a second inspection = thousands. Savings from not dealing with incompetent and rude employees of EG Smith = priceless.

Terry replaced an anir vent for my heating system. He did an excellent job in detecting what needed to be done quickly and had the job done in no time. He appears responsible, professional and knows what he is doing with heaters. I will e glad to request him again. In fact, he is returning tomorrow to do the cleaning of my oil heating system.

He was very nice, and knowledgeable. Helped me figure out the problem. I was running a generator during power outage, and it turned out that the furnace works for the original part of the house, but not addition that has a heat pump. I was embarassed that I did not remember that.

I had a failure of my heating system. When the technician came out it turned out that the blower motor needed to be cleaned it wasn’t putting out enough air. When we asked him shouldn’t this be part of the yearly maintenance that we pay for? He said yes but the guys often forget this. Now that it has been cleaned my house is warmer than it has been in years. I had to buy electric heaters and use them because the house was never warm enough. I just thought it was a drafty old house. All that money wasted on heaters and electricity all because somebody forgot to do their job for years.

We were happy with the same day service. The problem was that our dehumidifier was leaking because there was no filter inside. It should have been replaced when the heating system was checked in the fall. We will probably write a note and post it on the dehumidifier, so it is not overlooked in the fall, when the tech arrives.

Terry was my tech last year for an A/C repair, and twice this year for a furnace repair. Very knowledgeable and professional. And Michelle always calls to let me know he's on his way.

Our heating system was indicating it was on but the building was not warm. When we checked the indicator on the oil tank it read 0. I called and asked for a delivery but let them know that I was not sure if the problem was an empty tank because we are on automatic delivery. I technician came, added oil to the tank which was not empty and restarted our system. Then he called back and asked that a technician come out and check the lines on the tank which turned out to be the problem. There was an airlock in the line and the Technician that came took care of eleviating that problem. He was very professional. He explained everything as he worked and was very thorough. It was a very good experience.

I have subcontracted your company in the past as a remodeling contractor for years. Then you took over Auto Service and continued the first rate oil delivery and annual service. After hurricane IDA in our area Sept. 1, 2021 I was sure of the top notch service you would do for our home. Regardless of Insurance claim $$$ received, it was money well spent. Being in the construction trade since 1977, I watched and listened to the techs who performed their trade. From intro, work estimate write-up, install, explanation to my questions, and final clean-up. I personally complimented them. Your office peeps are very courteous and informed with the trade they represent off the jobsite.

Well, after 4 visits we are still chasing a problem of intermittent no heat. Maybe the 5th visit will be the charm. Gotta give them credit for making an honest effort though.

This is a great company. They arrive on time and provide excellent service as was as education there customers on how to get the most out of there heating systems. They provide tips and tricks and answer all of your questions which will help you get 25 years out of your heating vs lets say 10 years if you do not properly maintain your system. I highly recommend.

Late Matt Smith was the individual from EG Smith that we first came in contact with. Matt was a technically competent and highly professional individual whom we began to soon trust. After Matt’s unfortunate loss, we felt gratified that Todd came over with Rich and Andy to visit our premises and review various aspects of the conversion of our complete HVAC system to Natural Gas. The installation went very smoothly and their was quick to respond to resolving any start up issues. Just a great team, excellent Company and wonderful new HVAC unit. Thanks
