They ended up fixing the problem but I felt taken advantage of. Called on Saturday with water backing up in my basement floor drain and was told they would be at my house Sunday morning. No one called so I called back and was told they would come Monday afternoon. Owner ended up coming Monday morning, and attempted to snake the drain from inside and from outside. Concluded he needed to come back the next day with a helper and a bigger snake. Had to pay an extra $100 because of this which is not right. Got the job done the next day but tried to sell me on additional things that I did not need and the rates they were charging were too high and I confirmed this with another master plumber.
The work is well explained before starting and price calculated beforehand for approval. Careful with the quality of products used, safety and durability. Great work consistent for more then 10 years of services in our house! Thank you.
As you can tell from the tabs I clicked, I had *a lot* of work that needed to be done on my new house, and for much of it, I had an aggressive timetable. I got the referral from my sister, who has used Miller for years. Extremely responsive, personable, prompt, honest about my options, a very fair price, and did a very nice job on all of my new systems. Not only that, but they were very accommodating and fair when they found the inevitable extra issues in this old house - not the “gotcha” type of business at all. If there is ANY other installation or repair I ever need, I will ALWAYS call Miller. Now I see why my sister gave me their number - I honestly can’t think of anything that could have gone better, in any sense of the word.
The installation by Allen and Josh went smoothly. They went over and above my expectations. The price I paid was exactly what was quoted, no surprises. Everything was explained to me regarding operation and maintenance of my tankless water heater. They cleaned up thoroughly and left no mess. I highly recommend Miller Plumbing and heating.
The water tank in two of our bathrooms needed repair because of loss of water due to mechanical problems. A person from Miller Plumbing came to take a look at the toilette tanks. He proceed to tell me that he was going to charge me $39.00 for the visit and also said something to the effect that it would cost me $379.00 to fix the bathrooms. I guess it was my misunderstanding but even the price quoted was quite steep to fix the leaking problems in the tanks. Furthermore, he said that he would be returning soon to fix the issues with the toilettes. In fact, he came the next day in the morning. To my surprise, once he was finished with the job, he proceeded to bill me for another $727.00 on top of the deposit of $100 that I had paid him the previous day. I assume that the fixtures that he bought to replace the ones that are in the bathroom could not have been much higher than $50. That means that I paid about $750 for Miller Plumbing for less than an hour's time of one of its employees. That's the time he took to fix the plumbing. I told the person the the price was outrageous but he told me that is the price to fix a bathroom, 379 for each, plus $39 for the visit and the rest for the fixtures that were provided. Highway robbery to say the least. If you are looking to fix anything in your bathroom keep away from Miller Plumbing. I could have bought two new toilette bowls and have them installed for the price that I paid to fix some minor plumbing issues. I tried to put a stop payment on the check but it was too late to do so. If I could give less than a star to Miller Plumbing I would gladly give it to them.
We had a pipe leaking in our wall and into the basement. We called someone from one of the chain companies only to have our plumbing issue turn into an electrical issue as well once that plumber got here. The other plumber wanted nothing to do with the job once electricity was involved and left. We were left trying to find someone else to come look at our issue. After doing some googling we found Miller Plumbing Heating and Cooling. I called and in less than 2 hours a tec came out, saw the issue, talked to us about our options, and how much it was going to cost. 2 days later everything was fixed. Everyone involved was efficient and professional. I feel a lot better knowing this leak was taken care of properly and we shouldn’t have any future issues with it. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone needing work done, and we’ll be using them for any of our future needs.
I can’t recommend Miller Plumbing Heating Cooling & Electric highly enough. I needed an entire new HVAC system, as well as some plumbing repairs. Eric provided several options and thoroughly explained the pros and cons of each so I could make an educated decision. He and his crew spent several very long days at my home and did not stop working until everything had been done perfectly. On top of everything else, the guys were an absolute pleasure to have around! My new system is state of the art. It’s working beautifully and I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience.
Looking to replace a 30 plus year old boiler in my 90 year old house. Called places and got 3 quotes. Went with Miller because they were very responsive and seemed like they offered a better system and components. Very professional and knowledgeable team. I liked that the quote came from a technical person who worked on the install vs a sales person that I would probably never see again. Old boiler and hot water installation was a mess. Eric and his crew replaced with a new Navien combi boiler and domestic hot water heater. It’s a wall mounted unit that not only is going to save me a bunch of money on gas and electric bills, but it is super quite, keeps the house at a perfect temp without the cold and hot peaks of the old unit, and unlimited hot water on demand. Added bonus picked up a ton of storage space! And it looks fantastic! Might have been able to save a couple of bucks with one of the other quotes, but I believe I ended up with a better quality system and components that will save significantly on my energy bills. I highly recommend Miller Plumbing and I am happy with myself for choosing them! Thanks!
Quoted $700 to replace a pressure switch. $700 to replace a circuit board on another furnace a month before. They seem to make up prices as they go.
It was cold and my thermostat wasn’t working thus no heat. I called Miller on a weekend and they sent out a technician that was rude and condescending. He told me he could fix the thermostat by hooking up 2 wires but quoted me $600 to do so. When I couldn’t believe the price he stormed out. The owner then harassed me for payment of the $99 trip fee. I would highly recommend avoiding this company. There are much more honest companies you could use in Pittsburgh.
Overall very poor service had my furnace repaired then less than a month later had to get it repaired again they would not even come out until the next day. They are very expensive the sevice tech didn't even finish putting my furnace back together. I will never use the again..
Eric was incredibly helpful, and knowledgeable. He came within an hour of the initial phone call, diagnosed the problem and gave us our options. Eric returned to install the new waterheater shortly thereafter. My wife and I are extremely pleased and highly recommend Miller Plumbing .
If I could give 0 stars I would! I strongly suggest NOT using this business. I made THREE appointments with them and they NEVER showed up for one of them. It's my fault that I gave them three chances, but their customer service is basically NON-EXISTENT!!!!!! Don't even give them a chance!

They were very knowledgeable about the different systems and parts. Were able to give a clear explanation about the differences in the systems very easy to understand. Came on time and the days they promised to be here. Very respectful when working in the house. Cleaned up extremely well after. Showed me how to use the new thermostat and made sure all the settings were correct. Would highly recommend their services to others.
Miller plumbing and heating 1st installed my furnace. It was the weekend of the bad freeze when limbs were falling down all over the place . It was time for a new furnace And they installed it Within 2 days. They are very professional polite And very knowledgeable about what they do. They came and put in my air conditioning unit And it only took them a little over 6 hours. They went around and checked my vents before they left and repaired 2 of them. I will continue to use Miller plumbing and heating . They are the best! Thank you so much.
We are very satisfied with our service from Eric Miller and his team. Eric provided several quotes on different heat pump / furnace system replacement options and worked with us to decide on a great option for our house. He communicated well throughout the process, worked well with us on timing and scheduling, and performed highly professional work, with no hidden fees/charges despite some unusually difficult trenching/exterior work. Highly recommend!
Great experience, Eric responded to our failed hot water heater problem quickly and took care of everything. This happened on weekend and we had our tankless hot water heater replaced at a great price.
Very prompt service when our heat went out. Not only did Eric fix the problem, he also explained what happened and steps I could take to prevent it from happening again. Will definitely work with them again.
I can't say enough good things about Eric and his crew at Miller heating / plumbing. I had my whole heating and cooling system get fried by a power surge. I had 3 different HVAC techs look at it, and they either wanted to replace the entire system or they wouldn't take the job due to the complexity of the Fujitsu system. I called Eric, and knew instantly he was confident about working on these units. He went above and beyond to get my heat back on in the middle of winter for a fair price. Great trustworthy guy too. When he says he will be there, he will be there I'd recommend him to anyone.
