Just had a Furnace, Air Conditioning and Hot water tank replace some very old units. The techs Brandon and Robbie did an excellent job ripping out the old units and installing the new ones. They had to do some real work arounds to get the furnace intake and exhaust pipes out the back of the house and Brandon recommended to his supervisor to change the type of Hot water tank from a shorter fatter unit that was first proposed to a taller thinner unit that would fit better into the same area as the old one.They never stopped working all day the two days they were there.
Kevin and Kelsey both did an excellent job. High quality professionals. From the first call in office to finished job was the best service ever!
My A/C unit was not blowing any cold air and was getting super hot inside the house. Called multiple companies and got no response or delayed reponse. I called McVay up and They came like an hour or so later. Once the technician arrived, they did a deep dive into the unit to find the issue. After about 20 minutes, they found the issue and had it resolved. The tech also informed me about other issues that I may face down the line and what to be prepared for. I cannot stress my gratitude enough for Mike G. and McVay for coming out and getting it fixed. Will be calling them back for sure for any issues I may have.
Adam and Mitch did a fantastic job replacing 2/3 of our cast iron plumbing stack. These guys really hustled. Quality work. Will use again and recommend!
So grateful to Adam and Kelsey who came out to our house late on a Friday night when no one else would take our call and removed a raccoon from our sewer vent. It was an unpleasant job to say the least and they were so professional and kind. Their work was prompt and efficient and we are so grateful! Thanks, Kelsey & Adam!
Mike G came over to do an AC check. He wore shoe covers every time he came in the house. Such a kind respectful and very knowledgeable young man and was very thorough. I will be using this company in the future!!
Devin was knowledgeable, courteous and answered all our questions. He also showed us an area in our system that, more than likely, will be a major problem in the future and a quote to repair it. If we ever need help again, McVay will be our first call!
Ian and Devin were amazing! Super respectful of the house and great with communication and promptness. McVay was one of the plumbing companies willing/able to get on the roof and scope from the roof vent which was necessary to figure out the ongoing issue. We had already had another local plumber come to the house twice with only temporary fixes. Now we know we’re calling McVay first when we have another service need.
McVay has done several repairs at my apartment and every time they are very responsive and fast. Recently, Kevin did a great job assessing an issue with my hot water heater and had a fix very quick. I would highly recommend!
Mike was very personable and knowledgeable. I learned some things about my air conditioning system that I needed to know. He informed me of other services available but was not pushy. It was a very good service experience!
My 1999 water heater finally went out. The tech Kevin was super nice. Was more than happy to accommodate access issues due to my cats! Let me know upfront that I needed to upgrade several features to be code compliant. Price was fair. He had the old water heater out and the new one installed by lunch!! Would recommend.
Mcvay sent a young man named Kevin to my house this week. He provided pleasant, friendly and excellent service. Several years ago another company told me I needed something done that cost $6,000. I called Mcvay for a second opinion and they saved me thousands of dollars. I have found them to be very honest.
Mike G came out to do a clean and check on my AC and did a great job. Very knowledgeable as well as efficient. He explained everything very well and presented the annual service program to me. I joined the annual service program based on the key benefits Mike and I discussed. I’m looking forward to a long lasting relationship with McVay for all my HVAC and plumbing needs. Had the pleasure of meeting Ian this morning. I called McVay yesterday for a leaking outdoor spigot. I spoke to Ben, who set up an appointment for this morning. Ian called 30 minutes before he arrived and he was on time. He quoted me a price before starting the job. He worked efficiently and had the new faucet handle on in a timely manner. I am happy with the new quarter turn handle he put on my spigot. I would recommend McVay plumbing, although I do feel the $89 travel fee is a bit steep from penn hills to Monroeville.
Kevin was nice, very respectful of my home, and honored my request for him to wear a face mask. He did a thorough search to identify the source of a leak in my basement, but couldn’t find it. Cost of the service call was reasonable, and Kevin assured me he’d come back if the leak returned (and apply the cost of the initial service call towards the followup visit).
McVay / Arendosh has been our vendor in the past for our furnace. Today they installed our first whole house air conditioning system. Chris and Dalton, our service technicians, were professional, friendly and thorough from the moment they arrived (which was on time). They reviewed what they were going to do, they asked if we had any questions. Once the installation was completed and the unit charged, they explained some things to us about a whole house unit. We had several questions that they answered. They showed us how to use our existing thermostat properly now with both heating and air conditioning. We highly recommend McVay / Arendosh for anyone with a heating or air conditioning need. They have always had excellent technicians and products.
All good things to say, it was easy to set an appointment, they were good at reaching out with status, reasonable cost, and good quality. They are too of my list for any other plumbing issues. Kevin was great to work with
