I would recommend Butler for any heating and air installation or repair you need. During my late fall routine maintenance check, the technician identified an issue with our furnace that if not fixed would release carbon monoxide. I was able to connect with Greg the very next day to review my options and get an install scheduled. Greg was professional and knowledgeable with answers for all of my questions. I ended up selecting a new furnace and A/C. Greg worked through the approval process with our historical district and installation was handled by two professional technicians that were able to complete installation quickly and efficiently. Five stars, will definitely use again!
I called Butler because the company that initially installed my two HVAC units is no longer in business, but recommended Butler for my future needs. I noticed that the second floor A/C unit was not providing the degree of cooling that it had in the past. Butler was able to schedule an inspection for both the first floor and second floor A/C systems within an acceptable time even thought this is the cooling season. They called the day of the appointment and the tech, Chris, arrived shortly. He did a complete and thorough inspection of the first floor unit and found everything to be in proper working order. He was not, however, able to inspect the second floor unit due it being mounted in a difficult location on the exterior of a second floor wall. He contacted the office, and they were able to shortly send a second two man crew, Justin and Edgardo, with the necessary ladders and safety equipment needed to inspect the second floor unit. They found that the unit was low on refrigerant, and obtained my approval to proceed with the recharge while here. After their repair they thoroughly tested the unit and ensured that it was working properly and to spec. All three Butler employees were courteous and respectful of our house at all times during their work. I was particularly impressed with the measures Justin and Edgardo took to ensure their safety during their work. They made sure that the extension ladder they used to access the second floor of our house was properly set up, and Edgardo made sure to anchor the base of the ladder anytime Justin ascended or descended. Due to the precarious location of the second floor unit, Justin used a harness secured with a rope to an utility pole to ensure his safety while working on the unit. At one time, I was an ironworker, so I am familiar with taking the proper precautions to work safely. Justin and Edgardo did not take short cuts or unnecessary risks. Earlier in 2023, I used Butler Heating & Air Conditioning again. I had to replace my Hot Water Heater. The water heater was in a tight area next to the furnace which meant they had to take the furnace apart to get to the water heater. They handled the job in a professional and timely manner. The water heater they recommended had a good quality rating, so that is the one I choose for them to install for me. I am currently very pleased with the product. I have used Butler Heating & Air Conditioning over the years. I have found them to be reliable and professional. They installed my air conditioner when it broke down. I chose them because they had installed the previous air conditioning system and it lasted many years, so I continued to use Butler for the new air conditioning unit when I needed it.

Butler Heating & Air Conditioning installed a new Carrier furnace at our home in 2022 including a humidifier and programmable thermostat. The salesperson gave us comprehensive information including options to help us decide the best system for our needs with no pressure. The installation was done efficiently and with good quality. The installers were able to answer all our questions and explain everything very well. They made sure the system performed properly and cleaned up afterward. We have been very pleased with the system performance this past winter. We have also used Butler for routine annual inspections of our furnace and air conditioning. I recommend Butler for reliable service that represents good value.

Jason and Tyler were incredibly kind when they came to fix my furnace. There was an issue with the control board, and they were able to diagnose and fix the problem incredibly quickly. They were both on time and efficient. Would absolutely recommend!
Our 45 year old system was removed and replaced at a very reasonable cost. The installers were well trained, informative, and very professional. A couple of changes had to be made and response was prompt. We would recommend Butler heating and air to anyone! Marv and Kathy Cook
We've had a couple of different services that Butler has provided us in the last few months. We purchased a maintenance program for two houses and at one of the houses the inspection found that the carbon monoxide levels were unsafely too high. The recommendation was to immediately shut off the gas to the the furnace for safety reasons. Keith from sales came out the following day and discussed with us our options and even found three different sources of revenues we would be receiving to help us pay for the Carrier replacement furnace we had chosen. A couple of days later the old furnace was removed and the new furnace and thermostat were in place and within a few hours the house was back to being toasty warm. The installation was first class. Myles installed our new furnace has years of experience, answered questions, and was very reassuring. In fact his dad, also named Myles, had originally installed our previous furnace. Keith had sold us the previous air conditioner and furnace and removed the original big monster furnace from the house. Greg correctly determined the issues of my old but big house in Oakwood. The air flow issue was resolved and it heats and cools extremely well now.
Not sure if I caught them on a bad day - but they couldn't fix my furnace and charged more than quoted for the service call - $94 turned into $165 for them to tell me they couldn't fix it. That seems to be a common thread in the comments below. Of 3 other people I had inspect and quote -- they were 85% more on the service call than others. Unfortunately - they couldn't quote me for a new furnace at that time, so I had to do another appointment -- then they didn't show up to quote a new furnace and I wasted 4 hours of my day waiting on them sitting in my car despite a dozen calls to the office. Finally got an email quote to replace furnace -- they were 45% more than 3 other quotes I received. I have 6 furnaces to replace -- I will not be using Butler. We had 2 services from Butler. We had a boiler inspection and water heater installation. Both men were professional, friendly, and good at their jobs. They also went beyond regular service to make sure we were happy with their jobs.
The people at Butler are always courteous and professional. Plus they take pride in their work. I now have a contract with them for twice a year maintenance. 👍🏻
